1. I sent in my application via courier. They informed via tracking it was delivered. But there was no signature by the recipient so I have no way of confirming my application wasn't actually lost - given we are very far away from our AORs and Temp numbers - is this some sort of an issue or is it normal for people to not get signatures from CIC when delivered?

I also worried whether the package was actually delivered and is safe.
My thoughts:
If you used the correct address, it should be ok. They probably receive lots of couriers everyday. And the delivery people should know what to do.
I used Fedex. They emailed to inform me once the package was delivered, and provided the name of the person who received/siged the package. Also on the email was a link to a jpg image of the actual signature.
I can only presume it was delivered with these information.
But, actually, if I am too worried, the package might still be "lost" AFTER it was delivered.
Anything can happen.
So, may be we stay calm for now. Wait for a bit more and call to get the "temporary number".

The temporary number cannot be delivered until your mail is opened , they are still opening mail sent April and May.

Been clicking refresh too much on the spreadsheet and forums. Thought I'd share that 3 people from July 2020 Outland have received their AOR1 and someone from Aug 5 2020 Outland called and received a temp file number. It's getting closer!

I'm really excited about that- at least if I screwed up my application I won't find out 8 months from now.

I sent in a replacement form for something I thought I goofed- But, I cannot imagine that I would have sent it out with a typo in it to begin with since the typo was my brother's address. My spouse and I both read through the forms multiple times. I have to imagine I would have caught that, but, maybe didn't save the form again. I know I reprinted the form a couple times with corrections before sending it.

Anyhow, will be thrilled to quit second guessing it constantly. I don't care if they need more supporting documents or what have you, so long as it's not rejected completely.. lol

If I have to send it in again, I'll scan the whole packet so I know exactly what I sent in, so I don't have to spend months second-guessing it.

Given October was the month they had to speed up, it seems they actually did and it was rightly March focused. Hopefully if they continue like this, they might be able to get done with the backlog in the next 2-3 months. Can be our turn by January hopefully.

In sponser eligibility check, is regular job mandatory? My wife just joined a job in Canada Brampton 1month ago but still not regular in job. So will she be eligible as sponsor person. I'm principal applicant out of Canada. Thank you

There is no income requirement for sponsor approval. She just needs to sign an undertaking agreeing to support your financially for the next 3 years and show that basic needs can be met (food, shelter, etc.). As long as she signs the undertaking, has a place where you can live, and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who can prove her marriage to you, you should be fine.

3 Aug 2020 Outland AORs as late as Aug 17th. Based on this I think we can start seeing Sept AORs this month!
