If you have the checklist file. Use forms from the link that the checklist provides and follow the instruction on how to fill each form and you will be good

Hi! Sent in on Friday the 11th by Canada Post courier, delivered on the 14th. And now we wait, I guess. Has any of you applied for a visitor record/extension? My OWP is about to expire in two weeks and I'm not sure what to do.

Patience.

Late February/early March applicants are just having their applications start the initial processing. Expect a few more months at least before you hear anything from Mississauga.

Hi! Sent in on Friday the 11th by Canada Post courier, delivered on the 14th. And now we wait, I guess. Has any of you applied for a visitor record/extension? My OWP is about to expire in two weeks and I'm not sure what to do.

Did you send an OWP application in with your PR application? I am on a visitor visa but am not sure yet if I want to apply for an extension. Technically I don't have to because I am in status with the pending OWP but if it runs into any issues I could be in trouble if I haven't extended my visitor visa. I have a friend who was on OWP when she applied for PR and her packet got lost, they had to resubmit 3 months later and were on a very tight timeline because her OWP was about to expire as well.

I sent an OWP in with the PR application, yes. I think after reading most threads here, I'll apply for a visitor record anyway to be safe and avoid having to restore status in case anything goes wrong. Let me know what you end up doing!

When I consulted with a lawyer at the beginning of this she told me not to apply for a visitor visa (that not reapplying was a perk of doing the inland application), but given the long timelines we're in now it may just be a couple hundred $$ for peace of mind just in case it goes awry. I have about a month still before I have to send one in if I'm going to do it. I'm curious to hear from others about if they have extended or not!

I submitted it yesterday for peace of mind, haha. Got an update today that they're reviewing it. Will post updates!

Is there anyway I can link my application with the online account to follow their status?
I try to link it but it shows that they couldnt find my application. Is it because they havent start reviewing my application?

When did you submit your application and when it was delivered?
Did you received AOR from them via email ?
