+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
This was before June 19th. That explains it!! Anyone know the CIV number to call from outside of Canada?
I think it’s 001 613 944 4000 . I haven’t tried it myself but someone told me that’s the number to call outside Canada. I hope it works !!

Updated the spreadsheet.

Please post an update once you receive the test invite email and once after taking the test. Thank you for the update.

Haha, the next update for you is oath. :) . Give it probably a month or two. Given the uncertainty, it could happen sooner.
I hope so. But in my case it can take little longer because my wife's app is still In Progress. (Her CT is completed - but language, prohibitions and physical are still "In progress")...I think they'll send the Oath invites together in case of families. So my app won't proceed till her app status is also "Decision Made".
I wish I had the courage to tell my wife "you are slowing me down woman!". :-)

ROFL! Well, I wish you all the very best should you choose to do that :p. Oh, and I hope your wife isn't on the forum (or at least doesn't plan to create an account in the near future).

@Nevine.Kassem and me had the same version numbers and date on the test invite document but the OP saw "You can take the test outside Canada" message and I didn't. Inconsistent. The OP received the request from Scarborough and I received it from Mississauga.

Me receiving the letter from Scarborough is already weird enough, given that i live in Hamilton (before I left Canada for the summer last month).

I got the invitation to the test with a bullet point clearly stating that i should send to the office within 48 hours from receiving the invitation with the subject "Outside Canada" and provide my full name and case number. They replied within 30 minutes saying that it was okay.

What did you exactly say in the email if I may ask ? I’m in the same situation. Thank you

Thats why i strategically filed the application separately giving reason as 50-50 chances that one of us will get finished soon;)(at that time she was not having enough residency days too hence it was little easier). But the cic office is sending test invite together anyway and my wife tells the usual dialogue "I told you to wait and send it together"

The information they requested. In my invitation to take the test they said:

If you are outside of Canada and you would like to take the Canadian citizenship knowledge test from outside of Canada, please contact us at (the same email address that sent you the invitation, it varies from person to person) within 24 to 48 hours from the date of this notice and indicate ‘’Outside Canada’’ in the subject line of the email and provide your name, application number and the start and end date for your online test in the text of your email. We’ll contact you with the next steps after we receive your email.

I did it because she didn't take ID photo before her test and now we are waiting for her re-test invitation for over a month . I can assure you the outcome of these conversations isn't good
