I contacted IRCC over the phone yesterday morning and the officer advised me that i will receive FP request by mail not E-mail!!!!. 2 hours later i received FP request by E-mail which was contrary to what he said!!! but i think he wanted to help so he made it through Email. i went to FP accredited agent and submitted yesterday afternoon. now the waiting isn't on me. all the best

Test invitation email received. So they are adding this point in the standard format.

indicate ‘’Outside Canada’’ in the subject line of the email and provide your name, application

with the next steps after we receive your email.

INCORRECT. Applying under Privacy Act is perfectly fine AND is recommended because you don't pay the $5 fee when you apply under the Privacy Act.

but would you get the same information ? i thought Privacy act gives you less information ?

You'll get email for fp 2 days after tracker regardless of ur call to ircc. Anyway, its done now. Dont worry.

It can happen, depends on ur local ircc office. I saw both updates on the same day. Both r paralell tasks I guess. Fp is processed by vancouver office for everyone. Bg verification may complete anywhere frm days to months depending on when thy open those fp results.

Yes you can be invited for test but its rare - depends on officer as usual.

You will get EXACTLY the same information with Privacy Act as you would with Access to Information Act.

Send an email to the email ID provided under the 'Rescheduling' section in the attachment that came with your test invite email with the subject "Outside Canada" and request permission from IRCC to take the test outside Canada. If they respond positively, you can take the test from outside Canada.

I'd say that idea is not farfetched. At least a few of us will have become citizens by the end of this year.

Most likely 2020 will be cleared by end of this year that will bring down the avg. processing time close back to 12 months. Then they will focus on backlog mostly early next year when everything opens up.

Takes a little longer for some people but in most cases, the results are validated without issues.

I have sent an enquiry email to the address that the test came from. Let me see if I get a response from them. Even if I don't get a response, I hope it triggers the update.
