The Thing is though if you are able to link it, that means they started processing it and its opened. If you cant link it, that might be because something was missing and it will be returned to you

Hi Guys, quick question. Did any of you applied for OHIP while waiting for your PR. We got our SIN number and when we went to get our OHIP we did not get it. I was under impression that while waiting for your PR you can get you OHIP. We tried with WOP that we received and they told us that we need letter from employer?????? I am confused totally.
You are eligible to apply for OHIP, if you have OWP AND a full time job with an Ontario employer. You will need a letter from the employer that you will be employed for at least six months.Here is the link -

OR you will have to wait until you get AIP from your PR app, then you don't need to be working full time to be eligible for OHIP.
It seems like no more OWP approval since 13th Dec.

I'm from October applicant. Just got OWP approved through website, haven't got physical mail yet. My quetion is that do I need to activate the letter at the border as many normal work permit holders did. Or I just bring my paper to ICBC (vancouver province server) and apply my SIN number? Thanks for help. Appreciate it!

Maybe you should contact them as people from october started getting their work permit. My husband got his today.
You don't have to flagpole for spouse OWP. You can take your physical copy of OWP to any service Canada office and get your SIN.
To get SIN, don't take it to ICBC - take it to Service Canada. For things like BCID, or translating your drivers license into a BC license, go to ICBC.
