Hello everyone, I finished my test on Apr 16, since then there were no changes to my application status, still “in process” I would like to know what to expect in case they ask for an interview? What questions do they ask? Thanks

Don't want to disappoint you, but I finished my test on Mar/13 and got a DM on Mar/22. Still waiting for Oath invite letter.
So DM grant you nothing at this point. Mississauga office is really slow(

Really worried for my wife application. She's had to postpone her test due to a family reason. Hope it will not take another year to get it re-schedule...

I think Mississauga office is at least 3 months from test, maybe few days less than 3 months but depending on the officer. The thing is, if 3 months is accurate and consistent we still have hope.

I agree. I think ECAS updates are based on officers updating habits (not sure). So, maybe it does not even impact your time to oath invite.

I took test In February (Missi. office) and will complete 3 months in next week but my status is still "In process" since then. Some people's status changed to DM right after the test within 1 or 2 days and after 3 months they got the oath invite. I am wondering what will happen with my case. will they first change to DM and then send the oath invite after 3 months of that means another 3 months ? (confused)

It seems that if you are single applicant with non-complicated travel history, was an visa student and then found job in Canada, the case becomes little bit simplified and they waive FP (you already did that during PR application) and interview, in that case you go to DM much faster. In terms of time from DM to oath, it's hard to collect consistent data, everyone's case is different, which makes it frustrating.

I don't think my travel history is complicated as its pretty simple. Asked them earlier and they told that nothing is required from you, just wait for oath. Just trying to confirm if there is any relation between earlier DM and oath invitation after 3 months etc. ? or can they change to DM and send the oath invite on the same day as well ?

So far the people from mississauga office who are reporting about their oaths have DM right after the test which is frustrating that what actually is their standard or if there's nothing at all ?

Upon completion of the test if nothing else is pending then the case moves to DM, providing that the case officer is on time of course. In your case if they told you just wait for oath that means everything is ok, then it's confusing to be still "in process". Well it is government business, nobody knows their standard except case officer himself.

You can use your unique or application ID to lookup the status on ECAS at https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do
