I emailed the embassy of Canada, Mexico, they just continue to say the 12 months not up yet. Been like 9.5 months since September 6, 2018. Telling me to refer to March 12,2019 lol. Just wanted to give them a nudge
I always get the keep your correspondence to a minimum lol... Mexico VO as well, and this is just sending through things they ask for haha

Hi - I asked this same question a couple of times in this forum and was met with several responses saying that it's "highly unlikely", "next to impossible", etc. (In this thread at least I've noticed people writing based on their own personal experience.)

But I'm in the same boat as you and we just received a TRV while waiting for PPR! I don't know your circumstances or whether it would be worth the gamble, but just so you know it can and has been done. Good luck!

Has anyone here thought of applying for visitor Visa while waiting for the approval of PPR? I'm looking into it now.

But like to see if anyone got any advice on it.

I am still waiting for an update since March 12, 2019 when they sent me an email of the AOR2 and my application is in Mexico. If you got your PPR on May 22nd, 2019 and I'm still this long for an update. My application was received on September 6, 2018. Basically same time line as yours and still been waiting. This is so frustrating.

Mexico VO is really really slow . Our application is September 12 and zero updates since April 2. Additional documents uploaded April 2 and gckey is still stating they are reviewing them. Urgh hang in there all of us with Mexico VO it will happen soon !!!!

I didn't get an update from them from early January to almost the end of May. it's so frustrating but the problem is that there is no way of doing anything about it either because they will simply tell you it’s still processing and within the 12 months timeline set by the IRCC. Hope you hear good news soon>

Finally! After almost 4 months of silence we got the pre arrival letter. We're hoping that the PPR comes in this week. On ECAS it's already been updated from "in process" to "decision made". Sending in additional documents without them asking for it really put a move on the application.

congrats, been waiting since march 12, 2019, so about 5 months and half. And my wife is from Venezuela and her passport expires in April 2020.

So I emailed my lawyer yesterday cans they said they sent a webform request to them. Not sure what the difference between that and just regular email to the Mexico lol. They also said they don't have access to my GCKeys account. And I don't really want to remove my representative from my application. But congrats to most recent passport return above^^^

It's obvious that some VOs are much slower than others given similar applications. They centralized all of Latin America and the Caribbean in Mexico City. It's crazy that Brazil, the largest country in Latin America by far, has lost its VO for spousal applications. I just think that Mexico City is understaffed and overwhelmed.
