There is nothing to worry usually they have additional security checks so you might be having the same and you might get finger print request or may be not. In case you want to see what is pending you can always request ATIP note.
Where do I request the ATIP note? Is it through the Web form?
Also, this happened to one of my friends and he had to wait for 3 years until it's finalized!!
Any idea how much longer does this pr

Good day everybody.

I attended my oath ceremony yesterday and ECAS status showed complete this morning, so I would say my journey was almost finished. I do have questions regarding the passport application, do both of my two reference people have to be citizen as well?

Thank you for the help and good luck to all.

Congrats!

Only the Guarantor needs to be Canadian.
The two references do not need to be Canadians.

Hi,
I thought my constant worrying will over after the oath ceremony but actually not !!

long story short !!

I applied for passport yesterday - It was a busy long weekend - I have my travel plan in next 10 days so I requested for express pick up. I have been asked random questions on counter like when I am flying, what date, what time, where etc.

within next 1 hour my guarantor received a telephone call - he is a busy person. He has been asked multiple questions like how long do you know him, when, how, you signed by yourself, what dates you signed and lot of other questions - he was not ready for all these questions and for sure it was day time and he was super busy so he answered based on best of his knowledge - specially when asked what was the date when you signed this application? and he was like " It was over long weekend - Sunday or I guess Monday ohh let me open my calendar and let me see what date was on Sunday or Monday"

I have a pickup scheduled next week - lets see :p I am worried and smiling as well - this immigration process is like never ending story.

I personally feel they should schedule a time with guarantor for a telephone call. It is definitely not a good idea to call anyone and start asking these questions :D

Please let me know if anyone have similar experience or suggest a plan for worst case !!

AK171,
Pls let me know what happened at the passport pickup? I am in a similar situation and have to apply for express/urgent passport
Thanks,
