Hi,
I thought my constant worrying will over after the oath ceremony but actually not !!

long story short !!

I applied for passport yesterday - It was a busy long weekend - I have my travel plan in next 10 days so I requested for express pick up. I have been asked random questions on counter like when I am flying, what date, what time, where etc.

within next 1 hour my guarantor received a telephone call - he is a busy person. He has been asked multiple questions like how long do you know him, when, how, you signed by yourself, what dates you signed and lot of other questions - he was not ready for all these questions and for sure it was day time and he was super busy so he answered based on best of his knowledge - specially when asked what was the date when you signed this application? and he was like " It was over long weekend - Sunday or I guess Monday ohh let me open my calendar and let me see what date was on Sunday or Monday"

I have a pickup scheduled next week - lets see I am worried and smiling as well - this immigration process is like never ending story.

I personally feel they should schedule a time with guarantor for a telephone call. It is definitely not a good idea to call anyone and start asking these questions

Please let me know if anyone have similar experience or suggest a plan for worst case !!

Be patient . Pray . May be the officer will send the oath invite directly to you and will probably just update the ECAS status at that time.

Thats the only thing I have with me.

depends on location to location. In Kitchener it is around 2 months.

1. You can go without her but informing them beforehand would make more sense. Explain the situation and withdraw your application

2. Give them a call and ask them. They would be able to give you a precise answer on how to withdraw application +1 888 242 2100

3. I don't think it would affect the future application other than it may take more than normal time as they would want to verify why she withdrew her application and if she now meets all the criteria. Again, call center agents would be able to give you more accurate information. Ask them everything in detail. They are very good at answering these kind of questions.

Tips for the test/Interview:
1. Read the book and start EARLY. Don't start Last week before the test, it will take your anxiety through the roof .
2. Dont worry about the interview unless you lied on your application. You shouldn't lie AT ALL.

Just checked since last week now eCAS showing decision made.

Kids’ eCAS status is still IN PROCESS.

Is it normal that for kids status doesn’t change with main applicant?

Anybody have updated decision made status for kids same time as parents?

Hi! Yes, it is perfectly normal. Don’t worry. Since they didn’t have to take a test or interview they’re still in process. They should all turn into DM soon enough. Now begins the wait for the oath. Good luck!
