Ladies & Gentlemen

Has anyone of you tried to speak to CIC to inquire in general about the status of the citizenship application (although it’s been only about 8 months for September Applicants) and get a positive feedback (other than call us when your application is 12 moths old)? And what’s their number and which time you recommend to call them? I need to plan for a trip back home during summer and the waiting is so hard .
Thx.

I did talk to them a couple weeks ago. I called to ask if I should renew my PR card while waiting. Anyway , the agent basically told me that the normal processing time is 12 months . So can’t do anything else other than waiting in the meantime .

Their number is 1(888)-242-2100. Call them early morning around 8:30 am. I think the call waiting is like first come first served .

Thank you
I called sharp at 8 (local time) and there was no waiting, response was that it’s in the normal time frame and please wait.
Thanks

Thank you.
I guess the agent didn’t even ask about your application number to pull up from the system and see at which stage it is!

Hi guys hopefully IRCC is not working today (Easter Monday), are the fingerprints involved application not considered to be in normal time frame? Will my process cross the September mark? a bit worried, although my fingerprints have reached the IRCC as confirmed my using webform, has someone from Vancouver involving fingerprints received the test invite if yes when, I got mine done in mid January,
Thanks folks

Changes in ECAS such as application going into process or decision made don't trigger emails. Test invite, fingerprint request, oath invite or request for other docs are what you get by email.
I received my email invite for my ceremony on April 20, 4 days after the decision had been made.

Ceremony booked for May 10. Good luck to all!
