My spouse and I have passed the citizenship test today, 20/20 for both.
We were told to expect an oath ceremony invitation in the next 1-2 months.
Our application's schedule is as follows.

Application received: Sep 25th, 2018
App type: Family (2 adults + 3 kids)
Location: Ottawa, ON
Physical presence: 1098days
AOR: Dec 10th, 2018 @ 8:45pm

Test invite received: Apr 1st, 2019
Test: April 24th, 2019 (Passed)

Yep. There was some hope after Thomas got his oath invitation. But all quiet after that.

Been in process since Nov 26. App was received 4th Sept. Don't know why taking so long to receive a test date (toronto)...

I am in Saskatoon too, however we wrote our tests in March and waiting for Oath taking now! The waiting game is the worst.

Wow, so much difference with the location being the same! Wonder what is it that makes some apps zip through and others just hang. Is it just luck with respect to the case officer or does something like country of origin, years of education, type of job count? All you can do is guess.

I just hope they don't stretch it to September since the normal processing time is 1 year. It happened with my PR. Everything was approved when I ordered GCMS notes and there was even a COPR number and then they sat on it for three months before asking for my passport.

Guys does the applications that involve fingerprints, are expected to go beyond one year time frame?

Yes. Took exactly one year to land. Applied on Oct 2013 and landed on Oct 2014. The last GCMS notes I got in July 2014 confirmed PR.

I thought applying for PR took longer than a year. Where did you apply from ? For PR approval, It took us 20 months more after getting the CSQ (CSQ itself took about 17 months) . We applied for PR from the US in October 2012 and got co PR in June 2014 .

I applied from Toronto. So need for CSQ. At that time there was no Express entry and I applied under CEC directly. Applications were being processed well within a year at that time. Most who applied a month or two before me got their PR in 9 months. My application was approved in that time but they just didn't ask me for my passport for another 3 months.

Good morning everyone,

just wanted to update that that finally I received today a notice to appear for test
test will be on 9th of May,
I was so worried waiting for so long but finally it came. hang in there everyone, hoping all of us all the best.
Any tips on studying for the exam is highly appreciated.
