I recieved it with EE, but did not get it with IP2.
How did you get a hold of the VAC New York via chat? Any guidance link is appreciated..
Everymorning i wake up so anxious and excited hoping to see the golden email. I am in ip2 since along time . Aor 13 sep . I dont want to call ircc as from the chats above i have figured they are not always giving the right information . Hoping to get the ppr soon . Good luck to us all .
I don't want disappoint you, but you are in the same case as me. they didn't touch the file since the MEP and transfer to Ottawa
initial assessment mean the R10 check ( before the MEP )
Eligiblity is not started
However if you later this month receive the ghost update it mean you cleared the criminal and they probably started with the eligiblity.
Actually i just notice that there is 3 kind of call center agents:
1) Agents that will refuse to give you any kind of informations and will let you wait for 6 month ( they're ofc always rude and impolite)
2) Agents that will tell you real BS, even if you cleared the eligibility and your application is approved and waiting PPR he will tell your eligibility is not started. ( they're sometimes nice sometimes rude )
3) Agents that will give you correct informations about your application ( always super polite)
In most of the case we have the 3), but sometimes we can have the 1) and 2).

when I called cic, I was told my eligibility is recommended pass but security and criminality not started yet

I got a mail from CIC saying "We have accepted your document and notified the visa office processing your application" and nothing more.
I think it's wise to update them nonetheless. At least they wont have a point to complain that you didnt inform them about any changes. Worse case, your timelines would shift by a week or so. In my friend's case, he did not notify them about the new passport number, so it took him some time to get the passport stamped.
