Did you get an email about the update?

No, I called from my mobile. Keep calling multiple times. If I remember correctly, the first three times, I heard the same message you mentioned. 4th time I got connected.

While nothing else to do while waiting for PPR, I enrolled myself into the Job Bank (jobbank.gc.ca), just for kicks, few weeks back.
Today morning, I actually received a mail about selection to some hotel. As I am from hospitality services, this would be in-line with what I would be doing after going there. However, I dont know if this is authentic or should I even communicate with them.
Is there any way to check with some govt body out there about this?
