Hey!
My country of residence is USA and my application moved to IP2 last week.

How did you know your application moved to IP2?
Did you get an email about the update?

Also I have one more query. For the employee reference letters, I did not submit the letters on the company letter head, as it is impossible to do so. Also I got them from my colleagues instead of my managers. I did not give a LOE explaining why I did not get them. Would that cause any issues?
Of course, you should have provided a detailed explanation as to why it's "impossible", also, even with providing the explanation, you're going to have a longer processing as a result. Provide the letter quickly otherwise you're even risking a refusal.

My AOR is Sep 28th and since the date of MEP (Oct 27th), " we are processing your background check and we will send you a message if we need more information".
On Dec 3rd, I received a message in my inbox saying " how to find a job in Canada" but I don't think that means anything. I received the exact same thing after my ITA as well.

Did you call to find out your VO?
Did you check if your eligibility has been met?

Yes I did :- Montreal VO
I was told eligibility has not started yet

Got a mail from IRCC
Thought it was Golden e-mail and opened it.
IRCC is adding a elapsed timer to our application portal on 12th Dec.
As if nobody here is counting the number of days since AOR.

Felt dejected and sad immediately after reading the mail.If anybody wants to feel the exact same emotions, just check your mailboxes.Even though if you know beforehand that it’s a status timer mail, your pulse and excitement will raise for a split second just clicking on that mail as it’s from IRCC.

I think they are adding this tool to reduce the number of calls and mails from applicants. The agent can straight away say that your elapsed timer is less than average processing time and to call only when the timer goes beyond the avg time.

There must be literally 10000+ applicants who would have felt exactly like me today seeing a mail from IRCC.

All things considered, its pretty generous of IRCC to send the mail to everyone.Else, there would have been hundreds of posts across the threads from anxious applicants who did not receive the mail and this mail would have attained a silver/bronze mail moniker....:p:D:p
Yes, it was same for me! And I dont even leave my phone notifications to 'silent' just in case the golden email knocks the door! This bugger came around 3.45 am! And then ... exactly what you described!
