Hi All,

I just got the Golden Update (no golden email):

AOR: 02/Sep/18
IP1?:26/Sep/18 (got the request for police records)
???: 04/Dec/18 (more documentation requested for spouse)
Ghost Update 1: around late Jan/19 (IP2)
Ghost Update 2: 01/Feb/19 (Not Applicable status on supporting docs)
Golden Update: 4/Mar/19 - received an "Information Letter" in MyCic account with the Passport Request

and in the PPR, they are requesting the following:

4. RPRF (eventhough I already payed for them in advance)

5. The complete address in which you intend to live in Canada and specify your current country of residence.
How am I supposed to know the address of where I'm going to live in Canada? has anyone got this request too? please advice

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS All required documents mentioned in STEP 3 must be submitted by mail or in person at the Visa Application Centre. With these documents make sure to include: - The visa application centre (VAC) fees (VACs charge service fees to send your passport(s) and documents to the visa office); - Your contact information, including your e-mail, phone number and return address; and - The VAC consent forms (available on their website).

so, I need to send my passports to the VAC, and not directly to the Visa Office.

Just got my 5th ADR and counting, must be a record. AOR SEP 29TH. Not looking promising vfor this last document. As i will need to add my husband name to our son's birth certificate get a copy from USA and upload it all in 7 days.
I am not going to even fight this losing battle anymore

Tell me about it. I went through the excruciating process of interview, that also I had to fly to another country just for that and now I am stuck in ip2 with no ppr in sight. All CIC knows best is how to torture applicants.

Finally I got my PPR yesterday:

- AOR Sept 03
- Medical Passed Sept 27
- IP2 Dec 07
- PPR March 04
- Country of Residency and Nationality: Dominican Republic
- One Applicant
- FSW Outland
- Very complicated travel history

I did not get any Ghost Updates. I ordered the GCMS notes and got the PPR an hour later.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between ordering the e-GCMS and the GCMS+ notes ??

It is clearly mentioned here - https://www.getgcms.com/order-now. GCMS+ will include the forms and documents submitted by you also along with the notes from from the visa officer, whereas GCMS notes will only include the notes from visa officer.

Both the links seem to be for importing goods.

If you are just moving in with the suitcases nd back packs what the airlines allow you to carry...these are not needed right ??

So is it just COPR and passport ? Kindly confirm.

These are two different forms.
One is for goods you are bringing with you at landing, and the other is for goods that will follow later.
Although Customs will most likely only ask for the second one (Goods to Follow), it's better to be prepared.
Technically speaking, you are still required to fill in the goods imported form, and include stuff in your "Suitcase and Backpack". Even if it's just clothes and phone chargers.

I only have 4 days left in my status bar - before 6 months.
I know my elibility review states - review required, and i have already forwarded additional documents end of January to support my application. How long does it usually take to get reviewed - or is this a question parallel to how long is a piece of string?
I was also told my background check is not completed yet although it states its passed on my last GCMS notes.

questions:
1) Do my documents expire after 6 months? will I need to retake my IELTS, Medicals (taken July 2, 2018), secure police clearance again
2) Would there be any advantage to securing a job (would this add points to an ongoing application/hasten process) and is this even possible to do without securing a visa? Im eligibile to apply for a nursing license but have not completed process as I felt it will be wasting money if Im not there to practice yet. however part of me thinks, will employers hire me and help me with my visa application- are they able to influence or send a letter pf support for my outstanding application?
3) Would ordering another set of GCMS notes delay my application further? ive been ordering them since January

The day I got 2nd ghost update which was on Jan 23, I called them via Hangout the next day (on call for almost a whole day, only to manage to get in the waiting line at 4:25 pm Ottawa time) and a nice agent told me my application was approved. Yours might be in the same shoe as mine. Congrats in advance. My Passport Request was on Jan 31

Everything is locked at AOR. Don't worry about IELTS etc. What was RR for?

Everything except POF. Currency exchange rates are reviewed on the day the funds are reviewed.
