That’s weird, but I think the good news is now your wife is simply waiting in queue for oath (all checks are done and cleared). So in 2 weeks you can webform and I think oath ceremony will be scheduled pretty fast. Please keep us posted once she has new progress.
Today she received the following response to the webform:
"Your application is presently at the IRCC office in Montreal Quebec. This office is verifying if you meet the eligibility requirements to be granted Canadian citizenship
.
"Rest assured that you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
"The next step will be to invite you to attend he citizenship ceremony. The local office will schedule an appointment for you in due course, if necessary."
This, of course, conflicts with what the Citizenship Officer told her at the exam: that her file was complete and the next step was the oath. I still believe her file is just sitting on someone's desk waiting for a team leader approval or was reassigned because the Citizenship Officer was promoted or went to work somewhere else, but who knows. She was in Canada more than 4 years before applying, has no criminal record, passed the exam, always filed her taxes on time - there's not much else to check.
We have November travel outside Canada planned, but would rather not spend $50 to renew her PR card if she'll be a citizen in a month, but I guess it doesn't matter because PR cards currently take 93 days.
