I'm getting extremely ansy myself seeing all these applicants sent after my own getting DM... i really haven't heard much of a peep about anything since September/Oct.

Anyone know the number to call to speak to someone? Maybe I'll get an agent feeling empathetic enough to give me some information lol

Has your background check started yet? Since you didn't do your medical exam until January 27th I'd assume that probably slowed things down a bit.

Oh.. How would I find that out?? Well, in the Mexico thread someone who applied in May 2016 just got COPR, so I guess May? Hehe... So maybe another 4 months for us?

I'm in Canada under a Student Visa.

My spousal sponsorship PR application was received on September 7 and is processed in the Ottawa Visa Office.
My MyCIC states that the Background Check is in progress (nothing about that on ECAS though).

But I still don't have a DM. And it seems like everyone else processing in Ottawa got theirs.

Should I be worried?
Is there anything I should do?

(Which is fine, my spouse's parents live there)

MyCIC sometimes sends an e-mail telling you something's been updated. Sometimes it doesn't. If you got one recently, and around the right time for when you noticed it, that would probably be when.

I was checking obsessively and caught mind in the middle of the day shortly after it had happened. I never did get an e-mail. My guess is that you'll be in the next batch of DMs.

Hi Moritz123 ! You and I are in *exactly* the same boat lol. Im sorry to hear you havent heard anything but I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one ha!

Mailed the photos, photocopies of passport, Annex A, and prepaid envelope off to Ottawa yesterday. It arrived today. Last phase of waiting finally begins!

Just an Update

Mailed the PPR out last Wednesday, they got it on Friday Feb 10

Status in CIC changed to this Application is Aproved on Wednesday Feb 15

Return Envelope mailed on Thursday, would have COPR today if I didn't live 8 hours from civilization.

Will have COPR in my hand on Monday, then take it to the States end of May so my man can finally come home.
Going to be a long wait as I haven't seen him since Xmas and now to wait until end of May
