We got the e-mail first. Still no DM on ECAS.

I believe the difference is we're Ottawa Visa Office. US Outland applicants are now (as of 01/2017) receiving an email soon after we see DM on ECAS. In that "PPR" email, we're being asked to send in a photocopy of our passport signature page, as well as photos, "Annex A", and a prepaid FedEx or Canada Post Xpresspost mailer.

Yes, It has to be a physical copy. My understanding is that it's attached to the PPR email as the last page. Someone either in the US thread or the August thread attached a blank Annex A to their post. I've filled it out and printed it, but there's supposedly a barcode on the PPR email Annex A that would probably expedite the process. Otherwise I'd think about jumping the gun and sending out what I have.

Yes there is a bar code with our application number above it on one side and on the other side his name, email and UCI number. You also have to use the proper address on it, depending on where it is getting mailed to. I wish we could electronically upload all of it to CIC, that would make life simple, but when has anything been simple with this process...lol.

Yeah. That's what I thought. It's almost going to be cheaper for me to physically deliver it to my husband by taking the bus across the border than to overnight it to him from where I am, and the COPR will end up getting to his Canadian address faster and for less than to where I am.

I just got my passport request email today! So for British citizens, I thought we were visa exempt. Apparently not since I need an ETA to travel via air do I have to send my original passport or copies to London?

Yes it seems to be about a week before the email shows up and it should go to the applicant.

You are probably correct on that one! It was $82 for him to fedex it to me from Texas with 3 day delivery. It was 30 for 6 days but we are running out of time as he received his email on Jan 23. This way I can track it and there is no cross border mailing/waiting with his COPR and hoping faster delivery time.

Ya...finally received request for Permanent Residence Fee + CIC has also requested we re-submit Schedule A: IMM 5669.
Has anyone else received a request for this form later on in the process? I assume they need it to complete a background check.

The e-mail should detail the instructions as to where you're supposed to send stuff and what you're supposed to send.

No e-mail here yet. Hoping to have it show up at the end of the day so I can get everything rolling. I'm very ready to get out of limbo. I felt bad in a way telling my daughter that we had DM because then her first question was when do we move and when is her last day of school, and of course I had no firm answers. But I also had to tell her, and the people who take her to school in the morning, and the person who's going to watch her while I go up to Canada to wait for the COPR and start taking care of things that need to be done up there, so that they can be on alert that things will start changing rapidly once I get the e-mail.

I've been keeping an eye on the recent ones and it seems like in general the turnaround time is about a week from when the documents arrive there to when it's mailed out, give or take a day or two.

This makes me want to spin around in my chair because they haven't sent the COPR yet. I check the tracking number and.... still nothing. Track darn you, TRAAAACK.

but UPS was giving him a hard time and I finally had enough. I will be glad when he is done working 14hour night shifts cause he just doesn't have enough normal people hours in a day plus sleep to accomplish anything.

Can relate to your hubby.... UPS's system was being a real pain when just trying to classify some documents. I think I was in the UPS store near an hour. ??? I also work 12 hour night shifts... so I know shift work pain as well. I end up having to stay up late and not get enough sleep to take care of things. On the plus side, moving to Canada? NO MORE NIGHT SHIFT WOOOOO!

I am finally through, mycic updated as approved and our COPR is in the mail today.

For those US outland fidgeting with Annex A, it worked for me to fill out the blank Annex A provided on the August forum. Our gmail accounts had cut off the Annex A form. CIC it's called a PDF attachment!

I right clicked and saved the barcode from the email and inserted it in the appropriate box on the blank annex A, however other august people didn't include the barcode and still got COPR mailed just fine

Thanks for the advice. I remember reading about you guys all having trouble with that back when you got your PPRs. I've already been planning and anticipating. Now if only that e-mail would show up so that I can start fiddling with it...

Got hubby's ppr info today, quick trip to the post office and CIC should have it Friday!
