Husband's representative got an email that he should pay the ROPRF of $490 and to send his passport to Vienna for visa issue.

We are elated and expect to land in March sometime.

Good luck to everyone else.

Do you really want to gamble on sending a passport internationally the cheapest way possible?

You're definitely going to want a tracking number on that package and a speedy way for it to be delivered. What a nightmare that would be if it was lost in the mail, especially the regular mail! It would take forever to get replacements and do all over again.

I have a question about the COPR process, but I'm not sure if anybody can help me out.

We're about to send my husband's new photos and a passport photocopy to CIC, and the email said to include a prepaid envelope that they'll use for the COPR. It's being sent to his US address, and we didn't want to spend a fortune on the envelope, so we just bought the appropriate stamps for a regular envelope. Does anyone know if that will suffice? Furthermore, do we really need to send a prepaid envelope when we aren't required to send an actual passport? I found the email they sent us pretty confusing, honestly...

No passport, only a photocopy of a passport was sent, so it's the envelope for the COPR

still, I would want tracking on that valuable paper

within Canada by expresspost with signature, outside I would fedex -- it's worth $20 after half a year or more of trouble

ECAS flipped over to DM sometime between 3 a.m. Eastern and 7:30 a.m. Eastern!

same here!!!! Decision made!!!!! woohoo!!!!!

now to wait for the email!!

congrats everybody!!

I just checked ECAS and there's DM on there but not the account. What's the next stage? to wait for an email? If they haven't asked for an interview and medical has passed then this is a good sign? :o

Yup. Now we wait for an e-mail. MyCIC hasn't been updating for people until the COPR is being mailed out after sending in the stuff asked for in the PPR e-mail. They like to keep us on our toes. :)

So I sent in the required docs as responding to the PPR request.

PPR Documents to Ottawa Delivered On:
Monday, 01/30/2017 at 9:10 A.M.

Today GCKey switched to say the following.

Application/profile status Closed
Review of eligibility Passed
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview
A background check is needed Complete
Final decision This application has been approved

My return tracking # isn't tracking just yet, but figure it's pretty sooooooon! I hope. How long does it usually take them after they receive the docs on their PPR request before they mail you your COPR?

I've been keeping an eye on the recent ones and it seems like in general the turnaround time is about a week from when the documents arrive there to when it's mailed out, give or take a day or two.

Received my COPR today. Just under two weeks after sending it to Ottawa.

We got the e-mail first. Still no DM on ECAS.

After much frustration I finally told the hubby just to FedEx all his ppr stuff to me and I will send it to Ottawa from here. I know doing it the long way, but UPS was giving him a hard time and I finally had enough. I will be glad when he is done working 14hour night shifts cause he just doesn't have enough normal people hours in a day plus sleep to accomplish anything. Hoping it arrives here tomorrow and I can then send for his COPR.

The Annex A thing has to be a physical copy, right? It's not something that can be sent electronically to Ottawa?

Yes, It has to be a physical copy. My understanding is that it's attached to the PPR email as the last page. Someone either in the US thread or the August thread attached a blank Annex A to their post. I've filled it out and printed it, but there's supposedly a barcode on the PPR email Annex A that would probably expedite the process. Otherwise I'd think about jumping the gun and sending out what I have.
