hearing everyone's stories is welcome relief from sterile bureaucracy concerns -- like checking myCIC too often.

Does anyone on here want to be my buddy and hold us accountable to only check once per week? Which day would be best to catch automatic updates do you think?

I read somewhere that ECAS updates on Tuesdays only, so if you're checking both ECAS and MyCIC at the same time, maybe Wednesdays would be a good time to check? I check everyday, lol

I can certainly try but I may have to wean myself from 7 to 3 to 1 lol! Not that they have changed since Oct 28th. Which I think is why I keep checking. I am willing to not check again until Wednesday afternoon, I did peek already when I woke up though.

Yes, i did and i was able to see the status of application some time this morning but now it say: Application status unavailable. Pls try again later

If I get a document request, I want to be on top of it was fast as possible. I typically check MyCIC 4-5 times a day on weekdays, and ECAS once. I check less on weekends.

I check MyCIC once a day and ECAS only once a week or so. ECAS isn't likely to change without me getting an email first anyhow.

I've never had an e-mail from an ECAS change. With MyCIC there seems to be a 24 hour delay between when a change appears and when the e-mail indicating there was a change goes out.

Yeah, I meant I already have every line on ECAS except "Your application has been approved" so I'll probably get a PPR or email about approval before it changes. Sorry for not being clear!

I never thought about that. My online accounts are so far behind the letter I received in October. I only received a letter cause they said they didn't have my email on file. I know for a fact it was on the application, I submitted it again online and received no acknowledgement they got it.

review of medical result - review in progress.
Review of submitted documents - blank

ECAS has 2 lines as most of you seem to have 3.
1. They received the application on sept 26
2. They started to process it on Oct 28

Is anyone else's so far behind the rest of the September applicants? Or am I just making a mountain out of a mole hill?

I never thought about that. My online accounts are so far behind the letter I received in October. I only received a letter cause they said they didn't have my email on file. I know for a fact it was on the application, I submitted it again online and received no acknowledgement they got it.

I am also seem to be behind most people who submitted in September, but that is mostly because my VO is slow! On ECAS, the Principal Applicant side still has not changed to In Process. We have 2 line, one that says they received the application, and one that they received the medicals.

Let's do this! From other Ottawa timelines, I feel like I probably won't see background check for another month, which of course falls on xmas/new years....so I promise not to check again until Wednesday!

I also have the same thing with my ecas,
Only 2 lines for PA side and there is no update about medical
