My file was transferred to VO Mexico, when suppose I will get the AOR2?

Hey there, our file is in Mexico too! From what I gathered, don't expect an AOR2 until about 2 months after file transfer.

When did you submit your medical because my ecas is still 2 lines
And my ecas doesn't tell anything about medical
And those whose medical was done few months back have medical updated on ecas

Same with my spouse's medical as well. Only 2 lines. No update on ecas or mycic about medical. In our case however, her medical was done in feb 2016 many months ahead of submission. so probably we may have to redo it. But we did submit the receipt UMI copy with barcode. Mycic says "No needed at this time"

Hello everyone, back with some updates!

1.The ECAS was constantly updating (slowly but it was there).

Currently on ECAS:
Sponsorship
1. We received your application to sponsor XXX on September 15, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 14, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on October 13, 2016.
4. We sent you correspondence on November 10, 2016 about the decision on your application.

Permanent Residence
1. We received XXX's application for permanent residence on September 15, 2016.
2. We started processing XXX's application on November 2, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received.

Just like Ottowaguy, Medical was bumped to #3 after it was initially #2.

2. We finally received the emails! They came one after another.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which has been received at this office on 02 November 2016.
Your application number is FXXXXXXX. Please ensure that you quote this number in all future correspondence with our office.

This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

3. Finally linked to myCIC! My husband is the PA and we were finally able to link his account using the UCI that was emailed to him, not to me (sponsor).

I have a question.. :-X :-X :-X in the email that says I was accepted as a sponsor, they addressed it to my maiden name. Will that be a problem?

Same here, no indication about medical on ECas and mycic.
It's normal I guess, till they update that.

It means they have sent his application to his VO and have looked at the file. AOR2 is the acknowledgement of receipt from the VO. You probably won't get an actual email about this as most VOs do not send AOR2. You can basically assume that 3rd line saying his application is processing is the AOR2.

In process means they have received the application at the VO and have looked at the file. This forum seems to consider AOR2 as being when the third line appears on the sponsored person's side in ECAS which will say that the file is now being processed. Most VOs don't send out an email for AOR2 so that third line is the only indication. Sometimes the third line and the "in process" status happen at the same time. For me, my status changed to "in process" about a week before the third line appeared. As far as I know, it's normal for it to change before the third line appears. Expect your third line in one to two weeks (estimated).

So what's the next step?

ECAS says that they started hubbys paperwork in Vienna. No word on medical but it was done in advance. Am I right to hope for February/March for PPR?

I don't think Ottawa usually sends an AOR2. I certainly didn't receive one. If you have a line saying your case began processing on Oct. 25th, then you can assume that's your AOR2. I think that's what most of the people here are doing. (By the way, it looks like our applications started processing at the same time.)
