Hey Landagirl, I'm a canadian wife with an american hubby living apart. Nice to meet ya! Congrats on linking your account. Was that to myCIC? could you outline exactly what you did as I think I made the same mistake of leaving out middle name...

Thanks!

Nice to meet you too! I was able to do it in both. ECAS after I got our application number. What I was doing wrong was leaving out his middle name, it says given name, not plural so that was my error. I also had to put in 5 for the amount of people on our application. Him, his 3 non accompanying children and me. So I would think you will need to use 2 if there are no children involved and his middle name. Hope it works for you as it is very frustrating seeing everyone else have success at linking. I still have not received any emails from CIC. Best of luck!

Hello September group,

I was doing some digging on this forum in other spreadsheets from April 2016 on and I found some extra tabs full of info that might be useful and added it to the September spreadsheet.

Great information!! Thanks!! :D

stanka: i guess there is no one rule to link. i had difficulty linking for a week after aor. someone told me to try using sponsored (PA) details, last, first name, and other mandatory fields pertaining to sponsored (PA)/application. Not to use uci or application number. Also try single vs actual status and # of applicants 1 or 2. it worked for me.

Hey CaroM8 yes I received my AOR on the 20th. Should I be counting 10 days from the AOR for SA?

AOR1 received. Yay! :D

The application number in myCIC still shows FX number even thought I have received my AOR early this morning. Is this normal? Also, when I click to check the status it says it is currently unavailable. Maybe it is in middle of myCIC update sweep? Any thoughts?

Hello friends
I m applying to spnsor my wife & children soon
I have some questions

Form5540 in sponsor questionnare
under section 17
Have u ever been married before?
Dose this mean my current marriage or if i was married before that marriage or what? I did not married before

2nd question:

Mine actually changed to F the day before we got our AOR e-mail. Interesting.

AOR2 received by PA (wife). Yay! :D
Didnt expect such a quick AOR2 response from the New Delhi Visa Office. I guess now the long wait starts for DM.
Spreadsheet for Sep updated. Timeline and other details in signature below. :)

Oh also didnt notice. My 100th post on this forum. ;D Been a member on this forum since April 2014. :) :) :)

It is indeed. In fact, yesterday I called CIC and spoke to an agent who helped me to find out the status of my application. She provided me with the F number and asked me to follow up if I don't hear back from CIC regarding SA by the end of next week. The AOR letter has also F number and a UCI. No luck with ECAS even with UCI number ::)

We still haven't been able to access ECAS, either. Not too surprising there, I don't think. From what I understand that should be accessible after SA....not that that stops us from trying. ;)

Same exact thing happened to me

Hey everyone!

Just got our SA today! Well actually at 6pm, but I was on a flight to Canada and didn't see it until now! So exciting, I'm surprised it's going so fast! Our file got sent to Mexico, now the real waiting begins!

I am so happy for you to be able to link stuff landagirl, i hope you get an email soon.

i just used up my 5 tries again, wah wah wah! but afterwards I thought about the number of family members thing, as I have 2 kids that we listed as his step-kids (we are married). so perhaps i should be putting in 4 (sponsor+applicant+2 step kids). I will try 4 tomorrow. But...

May I ask exactly what you used for all the fields?
1) By PR family class spousal
2) By family name, given name, birthday = remember to use middle name
3) I used place of birth instead of passport, which did you use?
4) did you manage with your accurate status? we are married. others on here had to put in the erroneous status of single (which blows my mind for a family spousal category...)
5) number of family members=what we put down on IMM5406, i.e. any children + sponsor (perhaps being married or common-law makes a difference?) + applicant= in my case it would be 4 if I'm included and 3 if only applicant and kids are included

I'm trying to find the logic here, am I nuts??????

Cheers family four!

If anyone else is interested see extra tabs on the spreadsheet in my signature....but:

***Warning: the contents have not been checked for accuracy. I thought perhaps interested members of this thread could help group edit these tabs, deleting points that are wrong or misleading, and updating points with current info. Be aware most of this was collected from the New Delhi Visa Office group, but could be generally useful for some of us.
