That's great news :) Did you email CIC to find out what the decision made is? Or did you receive a letter/ email? I wanna contact them but not sure how. Should I use the Case Specific Enquiry? https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

I wish you all the best to your new beginning :)

Hello All,

I emailed CIC last week after my wife's application turned to DM on February 28th. (US Outland).

CIC responded back this morning and said...

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Your application has been finalized and your documents were returned to you by regular mail on 2016/02/26."

I hope this means that they are sending COPR... anyone else ever have experience with this?

We are in Calgary waiting for the mail... so hope that it will be here any day since it has been over 1 week since they apparently mailed the documents.

Hello all,

I am happy to read through your conversations. My husband's application was received on the 29th of August 2015, I was informed of my eligibility to sponsor on the 30th of October. My husband did his medical immediately as we didn't realize it could be done before submitting the application. I am very aware that Accra visa office takes longer than others but I am a bit worried after reading posts that we might not have paid the full payment for the application. We paid the sponsor fee $75 plus the principal applicant fee $475 as we don't have dependents. Was there any other fee we were meant to pay? Is anyone else on here that your application was sent to Accra's VO?

Thanks,

What a confidence!! Hehehheheheh.. Sure sure :D

Hello Blessed 2.

I believe the total amount we paid was $1040 CAD. There are a number of threads explaining this on here. That should be the full amount.

Hi Blessed 2,

I agree with tom_from_sk that the total amount to be paid was $1040 CAD. The extra $490 you haven't pay yet is for the issue of your husbands permanent residence card if he gets approved. His application will still be processed and if he gets approved CIC will request that you pay before they give you the PR. This can delay for a while the issue of his PR as mentioned on CIC website. It's recommended to be paid upfront for a faster processing.

I don't think there is a reason for you to worry right now. Just wait until your visa office contacts you and they will tell you when to pay.

Best of luck :)

Thanks a lot for the information. I wonder is there is a way to make payment and send proof to them while the application is in process. If not, I guess we will just have to wait. Congrats on finding out that a decision has been made on yours by the way. :)

Trying to pay the permanent resident fee now will probably just confuse things - your payment might even be lost.
I would recommend simply waiting until they request it and pay it at that time - it won't delay the process that much.
