Sorry guys. I'm still new here. What is appendix A?
I was reading some outland applications and some of them has appendix a request.
Just curious.

Hi bionics,

In the application forms, APPENDIX A was the document checklist inside the Country Specific Guide, is different for each country...
I don't know if there is another APPENDIX A, but if people didn't submit it in their application, CIC will ask them to submit it.

Hi Liiaa,

My VO is Ottawa my application is there since November 19th according to ecas but nothing has changed since then.... Some VO are faster than others. It seems that Vienna process applications very fast. We just need to be patient and positive :) anything sooner than the 18months of processing time they announced on CIC website will be perfect :) Which VO are you?

Good luck :)

Thank you Stephcy :) My VO is Bogota. I am currently in Ecuador so our file got transferred over to Bogota to be processed. I truly hope its definitely sooner than the 18 months. My husband will leave next week again and I hate to be away from him :'(

Hey, I know it's very hard being away from your loved one. Have you thought of coming to Canada as tourist during the process?

Hi Stephcy, we have 2 kids together and with school its very hard for us to just pick up and go. We have gone over several times. Financially speaking too it becomes expensive
:-[

So I hope we can get good news soon. Keeping fingers crossed :)

Does anybody here know what the difference between normal and standard processing time?

I never heard such a thing. As per CIC the estimated processing time for sponsorship approval is 17 months but varies greatly by VO.

Overal processing time(i.e From Application Filed -> Visa On Hand) is 17 months according to the website.

Sponsorship approval is only to assess the sponsor- which is around 62 days.

I just received an email from the Vienna office requesting an interview. I'm September 25. applicant.
