If you are a us citizen apparently the processing time takes about a year. So i guess that's great news from you my application was send to Ottawa as well even though i'm not a US citizen.

Today they added 3rd line to my ecas
'We started processing xxxx application on November 20, 2015'.

I got my AOR and SA! So happy and relieved. What happened was, our letters had gone to our "representative" instead of me.
All along I thought the info would be coming to me. The person who helped us with our application is the one receiving the emails...

You chose your representative. They should be keeping you up to date and any questions should be directed to them.
If they aren't doing their job, at least now you have your UCI# you can check the website for yourself.

Checked with my old client in ecas.

They started processing my sponsorship file on the Nov 19th 2015. But now AOR or no email.

I hate CIC!!!

Hey y'all. I had submitted my application on September 17, they received it on September 21 and today (November 25) we got spousal approval. They changed our office from Los Angles to Ottawa. Hopefully that means that it will process faster?

When did you receive your AOR/email?

I know right? They can't even update their own website. Processing time is updated weekly but the last update is Nov 10th. 2 weeks off.

Good news, we got our SA through post, dated 19 November. I guess I have to email them and ask them to use email instead . Really relieved. Now ineed to do my medicals, and add our little baby.

I know right? They can't even update their own website. Processing time is updated weekly but the last update is Nov 10th. 2 weeks off.

I think that's intentional. I think they don't update it because if they did, they'd be behind. So, rather than have an influx of calls from people whose processing time has now passed, they wait to update it until they're ready.

They've done that for at least the year I've been viewing that site.

Although I haven't been posting to this thread with every update we get, I've been updating the spreadsheet. My wife's app got sent to Ottawa, which is normal from what I understand for an American's outland app. (She's in Canada with me on a VR.)

I looked at the Ottawa-specific spreadsheet, and some of the timelines are blazingly fast, even ones within the last year. I guess it's still totally possible it could go through in like six months, though obviously we're not banking on that, haha.
