Yours went in process (at Ottawa VO) 5 months AFTER you received SA?

No, I think it was 3 1/2 -4 months AFTER SA. . .. it was 5 months from the day we sent it in.

Keep in mind though that we had the worst luck ever and it hopped back and forth between LA and Ottawa.

I am happy it is all done and you will land though!

Well here is a word of warning for anyone who has submitted their Ontario Marriage license and not their certificate please dont make the same mistake we did!!!! They wouldn't accept the license after wondering why they hadnt received it an email one month later confirmed that they dont accept the license part which is pretty crap as it contains more info that the cert itself!

I don't know about Ontario but in NYC a Marriage license is just "permission to get married." It has to be signed by both parties and the officiant during the ceremony and it is then submitted to the State (province) to show that the marriage occurred. The state (province) then provides a marriage certificate as proof that they acknowledged your marriage license and as proof that you are married.

It is like a birth certificate. It says you were born, when you were born and where you were born.

Same with the marriage certificate. It says who was married, when they were married and where they were married.

Would the consensus seem to be that they are giving AOR along with SA again for us Outlander's? Seems many here have had it that way anyhow? We were emailed both AOR and SA at the same time in two mails at day 50.. I haven't called in yet to make sure we were not mistaken as Inland but it would seem to be from looking at the spread sheet that lots got both etc.

We never found out why :-[

We ordered our case notes shortly after finding out it had been sent to LA and it didn't hint of any reason as to why. The way it was written in our notes it was sent to LA, back to Ottawa, back to LA and then ended up in Ottawa permanently. For absolutely no reason -_- seems like they were just really disorganized

I keep checking the CIC website process times. Last week it said it was updated on Nov. 12th and they were working on applications received on Sept. 25th. This week it says updated on Nov. 19th and they are working on applications received Sept. 9th. Confused!! Do you think they made a mistake and it should have been Oct. 9th?

My application was received on Sept. 30th I mailed express with Purolator. And it's been 56 days and I haven't heard anything as yet. Anyone still waiting that mailed in their package late September?

It is a typo. They are working on applications received on September 29th. They just made a typo and did not put the 2. Check the french version, it states 29 and another member called CIC and they said they would notify the team to fix this.

I spoke to someone and it is a typo, she will notify her team to get the date corrected.
