I just want to cry honestly, this whole process has been a nightmare! I originally applied "Inland" in March this year, after the application was sent back twice we decided to go "Outland" for obvious reasons. Now, even though the application was not sent back this will still delay the process. They said they are holding my app. in Mississauga, hopefully they keep it there. I feel like Eor on Whinnie the Pooh..

If they lose something they don't own up to it.

They "lost" my medical results and the RPRF fee. I got the MP involved and they "Found it" within 3 days. I'd go ahead and set up to have them sent out, but I'd get in touch with someone about them hopefully finding those documents.

@ Mariac819- I'm sorry I haven't beena active on here. Started a new job and we're working in Kananaskis Country with NO reception for 10 hours a day.. I'm sleepy.

So they did keep my our application in Mississauga, yes. I think they keep the straight forward applications there, and they're processed very quickly! Horray. I will be so grateful when this is all over and Danny can start working again... At least we can be together. I am so thankful for that!

Awesome - im very happy for you!!!

I'm in Ottawa now - waiting for COPR. Praying it doesn't take forever! >.<

What's even more depressing is that you're told to "Just" do as the letter requests. Of course I was on the ball and already handled this, but my goodness come on...

I just realized that our application is "in process" since 11/17/2014 the same day as we got our SA.
Fingers crossed that we get an early Christmas present:)
(I will update the spreadsheet when I'm on the computer, doesn't work on the phone)

FYI I am helping out with editing the London spreadsheet, I updated the sheet to include your In Process date. Could I have your current location too? Closest city and country is fine if you do not want to be too specific. Cheers

I am - it's great to be home :-)!!!!

ECAS status updated to DM! ;D

says:A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

I hope they contact me soon. Apparently it will be the Vancouver office that contacts me since it's closest to where i live. CIC said it will take an estimate 5-6 months for this to happen, I don't think that is correct though

Mississauga is really being rude to everyone else waiting.

Congrats.

Hi all. I have finally received SA yesterday after waiting for a week after getting AOR. My wife currently lives in Germany, however they have decided to send our application to Ottawa instead of Vienna, although we have specified Vienna as our VO as it's the closest to her. Have anyone experienced the same? I wonder why they would send it to Ottawa instead. Does it mean she will have to send her passport to Ottawa to get her visa when everything is ready? ::)

Congratulations!

To answer your question over the past few months CIC has started keeping some applications in Mississauga and Ottawa. This is seen as a positive step as Ottawa has some fast approval timelines. If they ask for additional docs/passport request then yes most likely you would have to send the docs to Ottawa.

Thanks for your reply, it gives me hope for faster application time :-)

Does anyone know how long it usually takes the Ottawa VO to update ECAS status to "In Progress", after SA has been issued?

Yours went in process (at Ottawa VO) 5 months AFTER you received SA?
