QUESTION FOR YOU: You told them you are visiting while you wait and they stamped your passport with a visitor visa? They haven't stamped my passport in 4 years lol... I didn't know they did that anymore for US citizens.

When I entered last year in July my passport was not stamped.

Nothing has to be Notarized UNLESS it is a translation. It's expensive and unnecessary :)

BUT in the U.S if you do need something notarized if you have a bank account usually the bank will notarize for free. I had to get a few things notarized before I left the states for our application and they did it for free.

Wht is going on? my ecas has been updated since Monday but haven't received any SA or AOR? its frustrating .. they received my appl. on Sept 22, 2014.. :'(

How are you accessing ecas if you haven't received SA?

@ missmatalini

My sponsor can access through his UCI no. It says Application received. I don't know what should i do? I can see here some of Sept 26, 2014 application received SA or AOR.

Have you checked your spam folder in your emails??

What's your visa office? What's the SA timeline for that visa office?

Sponsor approval is granted by the same visa office every time. Mississauga

*facepalm* I knew that. Sorry.

Processing Time in CIC says for sponsorship it's taking 44 days and they are working on Applications Received on September 15th.

I'd wait until a week or two after they should be working on yours and if you don't hear anything contact your MP

Well, I just received an email from CIC... Says:

What is this? Is this an AOR? Why didn't I get an SA? :(

What does this mean? :(

Congrats you got yours on day 50 too! There should be another mail with an attachment along with the one you mentioned.. I got two mails yesterday with one like you are quoting and one that says you have met the requirements of eligibility to sponsor and that the application has been forwarded for further processing etc.

Are you able to see ur application through ECAS?

@ missmatalini

I checked my spam folder as well, but no response, I am waiting for next week when they are going to update their system.

I see, you got two emails... I only got the AOR one so far. Have not yet received the SA one yet, and it's nearly 5pm already... I'll watch out though, thanks for letting me know how it happened for you!

Okay, seriously, what in the world...?

Our application was received September 26th. We were hoping for SA any day now, and we just now got AOR. I don't know if this is good, or horribly, horribly bad. Ours is also the Missasauga office and the email I received is identical to fizban's.

You too? Aw man...

Like I said, CIC's website says they are working on applications received on September 15th, you said yours was received on September 26th so I wouldn't be worried yet.

I wish I could copy the SA email but it won't copy and paste to show you guys/gals.. Anyhow my application was received Sept 24 so I wouldn't get too worried (yes I know this is hard to do) as they seem to be working on us all just not always in order of date etc.. My SA email has a small barcode on it so look for that and it comes as a mail with the paperclip attachment thingy etc..

Fizban, I got the same email as you did:

UCI: ********
Application No.: F*********
Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office.

This is an automated message. Please DO NOT RESPOND to this message.

Dear ****,

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/09/26 on behalf of the following member(s):

*****

...
When should I contact CIC?
What happens next?
How do I check the status of my application?
How long will it take to process my application?

This is an AOR - I would call to confirm its OUTland and not inland. This happened to someone else and theirs had been mistaken for inland when it was supposed to be Outland. Outland doesn't get AOR

I posted this on October's thread.. I am posting here too.

i don't trust the updates on the website. Believe it or not, the website was updated to Nov 5th on Nov 10th.

I know people who submitted their application towards the end of Sept and they have already received their SA (you can confirm on Sept spreadsheet).

Let's wait patiently. It will be another week or so before any of the October applicants hear.

It all depends on the officer that gets your application. The average in sept right now is 45days for SA. Some are more some are less.

My application is outland, however similar to a couple of people today I also got an AOR email today. It doesn't look like I can access the status of my application though ECAS yet , but the email only stated that they received my application on Sept. 25 and would notify me once they start processing it. I hope to get SA early next week :)
