So we got this today... What is this exactly. It;s asking for pictures and copies of the passport. Is this in it's literal final stages..?? Or is this an AOR or something...??

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please see the attached document for your final approval and visa issuance.

This is definitely good news. I have seen others get this request from Mississauga.

Also they are unlikely to reach a negative decision without you knowing. If they thought your relationship is not genuine they would request an interview. Ifyou have no red flags (criminal record, etc) then it sounds like good news to me.

Are you a London applicant? I do not see you on the London spreadsheet, however in the September spreadsheet your visa office is London, but the address above is Mississauga.

Ummmm... we've been approved for PR. we just have to send paperwork and photos. This is nuts...!!

OMG - REALLY? WOW!... OMG!.. I think I am still in shock!... Congrats!!!... I hope it goes this fast for us all!

Was your application left in Mississauga? Im starting to notice that they leave the overseas apps in Miss now and they are processed a lot faster.

Ottawa office hasn't even updated my status. We aren't expecting anything until next year :(...

Ottawa office was moving fast but doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

@ DANERIN - It's definitely good news! Wow... that was fast! Congrats...

I wonder what determines the Visa Office selected... my SA letter said "The visa office selected is based on your relative's home address and the requirements of the IRPA..." I put in the current address my wife and I live in Canada as the mailing address but I put her U.K address as her residential address on IMM-0008 for her... wondering if that may have been the driver?

Folks whose application was retained in Mississauga, what was your residential address on IMM-0008?

I don't know if it's a myth or the truth, but it's being said that "simple" or "straight-forward" applications are kept in Mississauga; I have been married 6 months but relationship is about 11 months so I wonder if shorter relationship duration are further scrutinized?

I guess I should stop getting paranoid or speculate...loll.. but any information would be valuable!

SA letter says which office it is being sent to. Mine said Ottawa (I am from the USA). I believe it depends on where your home country is from.

I don't know why some are left in Mississauga though. Can't help you there. They do seem to move faster in Mississauga.

I would think that shorter relationships are looked into more but who knows how CIC works! lol... If you sent in reliable proof I don't see why they would question it.

Just got a late in the day SA, yay! ;D The 50 day mark for us and it is being forwarded to Ottawa 8) I kinda cried a smidge but they were happy tears, please don't tell the guys at work :-[

Okay now we need more good news for others here in the Sept peeps thread, lets go CIC! ;)

Hello,

I am American married a Canadian in June 2014 in Canada. We have submitted our app to Mississauga (sorry spelling) and they requested more information by email. I did not have our marriage certificate from Thunder Bay until the beginning of September. It did not take that long to get it once I applied for it online. Resent it in and called and they said they had received it on September 26 and they were working on Sept 14 applications. Got a letter in the mail dated November 5 that HE WAS APPROVED FOR SPONSORSHIP! Now our app for my portion is sent to Ottawa. Not to bad on timing. I sent everything in the package and have applied for my registered nursing license in ON. Still just waiting!

Any one look into importing a car. Since I will have a one time move, is there any tax break/exceptions on importing a care from the states for New Permanent Residents?

Thank you to anyone who can help :)

Acknowledgement of receipt. When CIC notifies you that they received your application. You are unlikely to get one from Mississauga office for stage 1, however you should get an AOR when your application reaches a visa office for stage 2.

Yes cars can be imported as tax except it must be on your B4 form. Look up the B4 it has the info about new settler tax exceptions.

Here are two links that talk about exporting and importing a car.

Be aware that as of Oct 2nd, the regulations have changed again. We now have to use AESdirect to Export cars from the USA. You need to become familiar with that.

Also, look up which port you will be exporting out of from the USA - they need to have your car title and ITN# before EXPORTING.

Note: you have to first EXPORT then IMPORT. (two steps).

Mariac819 are a SAINT! Thank you for your most HELPFUL reply! I am aware of the B4 form. I am using the 1000 ISLAND Bridge PORT of Entry. I will read the forms. When should you get the process started? I am under the impression that you will turn in your B4 when you land? I have a visitor status in my passport that lets the boarder know I am awaiting status. I was going to SELL my car because I didn't want to pay taxes! It cost enough money for everything else. Thank you for the info!

I want to also state that I did not send in the certificate until I requested because I wanted to have a file number first. I also sent a original of my FBI background check with it to complete everything. The background check took a long time to get done!
