So it was a bitter sweet moment today, first i received an email requesting my marriage cert and my schedule A background check again with missing gaps despite knowing 100% that these docs were included in my original application! So i was pretty annoyed alright! Got on the phone to the other half and she checked her email inbox to find that she was accepted for sponsorship! One part of me was wanting to get a hold of them to inform them of their mistake but now i'm pretty much resigned to having resend them via expensive post first thing tomorrow! But hey ho! Im sure there are plenty of people on here who can relate to this! BTW my app was received on 4 sept for processing and on the plus side has been sent to Mississauga for processing!

Congrats on SA!

Were you notified about that or did you just check ECAS?

Also, "In Process" as we know it here refers to the applicant's status going from App Received to In Process, correct?

Just checked ecas, med results also received

Called CIC

I called CIC today using the 613-944-4000 number and I got through to an agent in 1 min at 8:30AM eastern time. The officer was extremely kind. She couldn't find my application with my receipt # or my name. I had to give her my husband's full name and DOB (he is the sponsor). At which point she was able to confirm that they did receive the application on 9/10/14. However, she said she could not give me anymore information because the first stage involves my husband's application and he had to call himself for further information. I am just happy that now I know they have it! *insert huge sigh of relief here* -- now I wait! :-)

Mariac, It can still happen today as of this writing but if not I am sure you will get some good news for SA this coming week 8) Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for ya ;D

I called today using the "Sponsorship" receipt number and was informed that a file had been started however, they weren't able to give any further information.

Good luck to you Maria

When you call which options/numbers do you press to get through to the right person?

You press "1" a lot of times. You just have to listen to the prompts. I think I answered "1" like 5 - 7 times. Then they ask for my application number which I now have. I didn't have before. and year of birth. They then transfer you to an agent.

Thanks, for me next Friday will be 42 days so I guess I will try the Monday after that. With your application number can you check ecas?

Technically yes you can check ecas with your App # but mine doesn't show anything yet. So I am guessing it takes a few weeks before it actually shows in the system.

A new work week starts tomorrow and here's to hopes of some good news for us fabulous Sept folks, yay! 8)
