Congrats, is your application going to London or staying in Canada?

hello everyone, I sent my application Sept. 3 by Canada Post without any tracking information. I've researched from Canada Post website that it will take about 4 days to send the Letter/Parcel within Canada. I have no idea if it have been received yet by CIC.
It has been a month now and I'm really worried about my application :-[.

When do you guys think I will receive a letter/email from CIC about my SA?

Canada Post really messed my application around, and I didn't know if it was recieved.. Just got SA so I would say just be patient, it'll come :)

They've kept it in Mississauga, which we heard happens a lot with London visa office.

"AOR" in profile, meaning SA?

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt. It is rare but occasionally CIC lets you know they have received your application.

In your case, since you received SA you should set the File transfer to today's date.

The landmarks would go in this order

App Filed
AOR (unlikely but possible)
File Transfer (SA)

Obviously there could be document requests during those landmarks.

Edit: I see you added (SA) in the AOR. This is fine, plus in the spreadsheet there is a column for SA so people will know when you received it. Good luck with stage 2!

Congrats! This is so exciting that means I am next! :)

This process has been pretty frustrating for me and my wife. My wife is a citizen and working in Canada, while I continue to work in India. We dated each other for 8 years and finally got married in June.

We had sent our application package on Sept. 3 and received a request for updated form on Oct 11. We sent the updated forms using Canadapost, which reached CIC office on Sept 17.

CIC took around 36 days to open our initial application package, hope to hear back from them sooner this time around. >:(

Wonderful, Thanks!

Can you tell me about them keeping my application at CPC? Is it still being processed under "london outland"? I am concerned this will up processing times...

If you look at the spreadsheet you will see average processing times for the visa offices (London, Ottawa and Mississauga).

It is too early to say how quickly Ottawa and Mississauga will process applications but the general consensus is they will be quicker than London.

So it was a bitter sweet moment today, first i received an email requesting my marriage cert and my schedule A background check again with missing gaps despite knowing 100% that these docs were included in my original application! So i was pretty annoyed alright! Got on the phone to the other half and she checked her email inbox to find that she was accepted for sponsorship! One part of me was wanting to get a hold of them to inform them of their mistake but now i'm pretty much resigned to having resend them via expensive post first thing tomorrow! But hey ho! Im sure there are plenty of people on here who can relate to this! BTW my app was received on 4 sept for processing and on the plus side has been sent to Mississauga for processing!
