Hello all,

I submitted my application for PR Outland, on September 2nd and today I received a letter from stating the following:

"Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Details have been sent to your eMedical file regarding the medical information required. Please return to see the panel physician. The panel physician will arrange for the additional medical tests to be carried out."

Any thoughts people?

Wow they received your medical results really quickly! You might need to re-do the tests, maybe they saw something they didn't like or weren't sure. Do not worry about it too much yet, if your doctor didn't see anything (they would've called you if they had), it's most likely just something they need to make sure of. I mean if you HAD something your doctor would've told you.

Call the physician who did your tests, they'll most likely have the information.

Thanks Ellen , I'm planning on calling them tomorrow

Interesting!! - Question:

Did you talk to the panel physician to confirm that all the medicals were ok?

I had my medical done in Canada and they told me that they would NOT send it to CIC if there was an issue. That they would first call me and get whatever extra test were needed before they send it electronically.

I am also outland but I had the medical done in Ottawa because it was 250$ less than in NYC.

I heard nothing so I presumed no news was good news.

Me too. I made sure to triple check all my form version numbers against the CIC website before we sent off the application. Of course there is such a vast amount of paperwork in this process that there is that lingering feeling of forgetting something. So far, the only thing I know I forgot was to put one of the post-it notes on one stack of supporting evidence. It was tabbed/numbered/indexed though, so not a big deal. Hopefully the CIC officer is not as bothered by that error as I am at myself! ::)

Mine was crazy indexed, tabbed, table of contents all that too! lol.. so i know what you mean about THAT FEELING when you know you forgot one post-it!

Good luck to you! :)

Canada Post Horror Story

I wanted to share with my fellow September Folk what happened to us and I PRAY it does not happen to anyone here.

We sent our application 1 day xpress post! We paid for signature confirmation etc etc... all the fancy stuff because we wanted to be 100% certain.

Well our application was "miss-placed, miss-filed, and a processing error occurred" with Canada post!

Our 1 day xpress post package turned into 6 days! :(

Our application finally reached there yesterday. It was a nightmare. Probably the scariest moment of my life when they told me they couldn't find our package.

It is FINALLY in the hands of CIC - NOW WE WAIT :o

How did you find out it was actually received yesterday. Did Canada Post tell you that? Or CAN YOU CALL CIC, because the same thing happened to me... And I'm concerned that Canada Post is telling me that it was delivered, because they don't want to tell me that they lost it. No signature was done on the receiving end, and I paid for it. Feeling very upset.

What is happening with Canada Post at the moment, I've been reading so many issues about them on this forum recently. Are they just incredibly inept now? I remember when I posted my application from the UK the guy behind the counter rolled his eyes when I said it was going to Canada and took a lot of time to ensure everything was exact.

I am going by what Canada post told me. I will try to contact CIC but if they just got it it might be too early for them to give me any answer. I am not really sure. :-/

I finally get to join the waiting game.

Our application was sent on Thursday, and should have been there on Friday. I'm waiting to see the delivery confirmation and signature.

HIGH FIVE!
If anyone finds the correct number to call the CIC, could you link it?

cic number is 1-888-242-2100 only good in Canada Monday to Friday

so my package is waiting at work and scheduled to pick up monday morning! What is this about a new updated form that may delay processing if you still used the old one??!! Because I believe close to all of my forms I used from back in June so if any have been updated since then, I will not have used.

Also last week my puppy chewed up part of my passport/ripped out a few pages and the cover, so I now most likely have to get a new passport. Does anybody know anything about having to get a new passport in the middle of this process?

My current work Visa expires mid January, so I'm hoping everything can all be finalized before it expires!

Some forms were updated in August. Several people have had their applications returned to them for using the old version.
