So I have just opened my ECAS and it said Received. When I clicked on it, I did see a third line added. Here how it looks:

1-We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 17, 2014.

2-We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 8, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3-We sent you a letter on January 26, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I have no idea what documents they are looking for since I am here in Canada since 2009 and did fly out once to Dubai in 2011 for 7 days ONLY and that would pretty much wraps it up in terms of my traveling outside Canada. This is really frustrating why I have to go through this process. Anyone in the same boat? is this a RQ?

I think it is not a RQ because when a RQ is issued, they don't update the status like this:

We sent you a letter on xxxxx, xxxx If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I think they might be asking something else or specific. Someone who has got a RQ in this forum can shed more light on the status.

Thank you for the reply! hopefully they would share their opinion about this...

Today I receive the email of ATIP response which I submit on Jan 5th.

My application is still in Sydney office. It is open but the status reason is inventory-CP. what is the meaning of inventory-CP?

Also is only counts my physical residence only from my landing date, the date before that I hold the work visa is not counted in. Is it reasonable?

Hey, do you see any reference to a secondary office in your GCMS notes? In mine, the application status reason is "Inventory - CP" .. Too!

For me they counted all days before and after PR. I can tell that because it matches the data I submitted in the residence calculator.

I have one more question - do you see a "Due Date" under Oath section ? I see one and not sure if that means anything.

Yes, in my ATIP I can see my secondary office : Montreal

Inventory-CP as well.. it's normal.

Oath due date: end of february for me... that one I dont know, would be nice if it's true lol

What does Inventory - CP mean though? Do you know ?

secondary office is Hamilton.
Also I found this report was produced on Jan 15, although I received this email on Jan29.
Oath due date is Feb 25. I do not think it will be true because ecase did not tell the file transfer.

Do you have a name change/ or different name request(certificate) or some thing like that? If yes, they are asking for documents related.

Congrats dlre. What is your local office and where is your test?

Need to double check on the letter but test will be at STC.

Congrats can you please tell if received line in ecas disapperead ? and if its the case can you tell when? Thanks

My received line actually disappeared some time between Nov. 14 and Nov. 17, 2014.

Interesting thing, I got the letter to write the test but my eCAS is not updated to reflect this. It is still showing last line being the date they started processing my application.

Really, and when they suggest to send another application it just makes it seem like it was such and quick/easy/simple thing to fill everything up, gather all the documents and mail it in... In my case, I spent a few weeks preparing everything and even paid a paralegal to review my application before mailing it. If I do send another application it will be $460 in extra fees (2 people), plus new pictures, plus shipping not to say all the time filling in all the paperwork again.

In any case, thanks for replying -- I was already thinking you were just not posting and I was the only September applicant with no news whatsoever. Today it completed exactly 4 months since they received my application.

Did you order atip report ?..I got my AOR along with atip request.

Itguy78, pamma97 have you requested an ATIP ?

My feeling is that make them move their a** from the chair and look into the basket of files.

By the way there is another september applicants (lantenettes) from a french forum who posted yesterday that she get no news from her file too.

In your next call to CIC ask what address is in the system, as usually if your file is not opened, it's the one you put to receive your PR card couple of years ago.

If your citizenship application was incomplete there is chance that they return it to that address rather than the new one.
