I am not sure how helpful these tricks were but it helped my file moving..

Keep sending email after some time to get update....Like after paying RPRF although I was able to check ECAS status through receipt no even though I sent email to get status... The logic was to keep your file up in the queue.

Same thing I did after medical.

Do pay RPRF fee upfront..Try to provide any document if you think it would helped VO to take decision in your favour.

Best of luck..B+...

Thanks for the trick,,,

Can you please also provide with the email address that you used to make inquiries
I was jobless for 8 months before BOWP came (was in CLosed work permit & had fight with my manager), You are in better situation...hopefully this wait is coming to end soon..

Hi Friends,

My BOWP expiring this month end. I am already working with a company. In case required to file an BOWP extn, I wanted to know what should we select "New Employer" or "Same Employer" ... and what other things we should take care for filing the same.

Any inputs or redirection to relevant discussion threads would be appreciable.

Wish all of us good luck !!!

Cheers

New Employer. ... BOWP is "open" and therefore not attached to any employer.

I applied for mine in February because my permit expired on Feb 18th. I selected both and I wrote a note explaining that it was an extension and all that jazz. You an only sleet one option for the form to validate, but you can check the other option when you print the form out. Just make sure you write a note though.

Hi Everyone,

My timeline as below,
And I saw that my status have changed to decision made,
However, I'm from via-exempt country,
Does anyone know what's the next step? :)

1.We received your application for permanent residence on September 16, 2014.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 29, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on January 30, 2015.
4.Medical results have been received.

The next step will be to send you CoPr by mail. Mine took just a couple of days after my Ecas status changed to DM (I am also from a visa except country). Then you have two options: leave the country and come back and get your Pr stamped or call CIC to make an appointment at your nearest visa office. In my case, I phoned CIC and they told me they would contact me in around 2-3 weeks time to give me my appointment.

I did email CIC recently to add an email address and enquire to see if my medicals had been received. In an attempt to push them for information.
They responded and informed that medicals were still under review over 3 weeks after submitting them.

That is all I got from them
