Spoke to CIC agent today. For the first time in so many years .. i got through immediately without any waiting time.
Asked him about my file, he said 17 months is the time and so Feb 29th will be the day they will have some info for me.. so he asked me to call back on feb 29th
he also said that if on Feb 29th the file doesnt get touched then it wont be touched until the next 4 month.. like WTF
What am i supposed to believe now?

4 months sounds matche CIC spokeman claimed , in Nov 2105, all old cec clean in next 6 moonths.

my guess is , if 4 months not done, means second review or seriously security check is ongoing with those special cases.

so we can expect , major MR should released in this and next month. even for OCT , just my guess.

Don't stress out man! Mine 17 months over last week already, and still no news. Hopefully they will start with September applicants soon.

no, this is the Right of Permanent Resident Fee – not Express Entry, so 490 / person. If you are 2, just add 2 on number of application, when you pay online.

I am Sept 2nd applicant and I called the call center regarding my MR. They mentioned the above statement. UNBELIEVABLE. Currently i applied for 2nd BOWP on 29th DEC 2015 and am in IMPLIED STATUS... i badly need miracles to happen

What ?? They told you that your due date is feb 29th as well?

No.. they asked me the date in which the app was filed. Since the 17 months time frame has already passed they told me that u can receive an update abt ur file anytime soon before June 2016. If not they asked me to call them again...

so Feb 29th is not due date but it is the date on which day applicant can call them to check status..

Really these call center agents are dummy candidates with just talking skills.
