I did get two emails within hours. One asking for the RPR fee and the other one apologizing for making a mistake. I got quite upset.
How the heck they can do this to us? Wow! CIC way to go!

I am planning on getting my medical done in 2 weeks. Can anyone give me some advice? Do you need any forms? Thanks

I received the first email but not the second one. I did upfront medicals last July.

Hi can you share some advice on getting medicals done upfront? I've booked mine for February and was wondering what forms I need. Thanks

finally got 2nd email. LOL

What a day... lol

jst a random question, does health card expiry has anythign to do with doing medicals? should i do upfront medical before my health card expires?

CIC f***ing SUCKS!!!! They are just playing with our lives like it's a video game. Meanwhile, these idiots are just having fun and laughing at us like we are some desperate losers.

Tomorrow will get a "batch MR " , just kidding.

I will not be surprised if they send out emails to all of us tomorrow saying that we are invited to the next Canadian citizenship oath taking ceremony.

I am Sep 5 applicant, I did not get that fake RPRF email. This makes me worry if something is wrong with my application as most of Aug,Sep applicants got that. Just wondering anyone else who did not get that request like me?

@ fanziyi - I am Sept 18th applicant and I did not receive this "fake" email. I really do not what to make out of it.

Sure,I feel better. It 'been panic. As I left Canada 3 months later after submitting the application, I always have concerns if my application is processed differently.

@saching_iitr - You can lookup for the panel of doctors on the CIC website. Look for one in your city.

Once you find a doctor, you need to tell the doctor that you want to do an upfront medical and if the doctor works with e-medical then he/she will upload your report online and if he/she does not work with e-medical then he/she will give you the reports which you can mail to CIC.

All the best and let us know if you have further question.

I agree! I got my hopes up and then got the second email and got mad. Trying to keep positive though. Positive vibes to all of us

;D that'd be hilarious and very sad too

Morning guys,
So after all of yesterday's excitement, I too finally got that second email.
It is really disappointing, but I may just pay it anyway, as someone said we will have to pay it sooner or later..

Medicals are private and payed by the applicant, a Health Card isn't required, at least in my case.

August 2014 fellas are getting MR so perhaps September applicants can get MR in a couple months, so if you're doing it upfront probably you don't need to worry about medicals expiring during CEC process, I hope so.

Just ask clinic if they are doing medicals upfront for old CEC.

About Health Card you should ask for a temporary extension (in Alberta, at least) based on your BOWP application if you don't get BOWP before expire date
