September 2014 - CEC Applications

They have stopped working on our files,

they have finished with FSW quota till December 2014 but they are not in mood to work on our files, , they are working on EE but they are not at all working on Old CEC application. they are behaving just like step son with us, and everybody on this forum is just calm, because they have BOWP to work, so can somebody answer me, how many more years now? such a sh*** process, why only Old CEC people are suffering only, why ? my friend applied in December for FSW he already got the Stamping, we are applied prior to that still waiting and waiting . . . .

can somebody please raise a voice now ????

Not sure if anyone is updating the BOWP sheet in the spreadsheet but if so, I applied online on June 26th and my online status updated to approved today. I expect the official letter will come in the next day or so.

Anyone can update the BOWP sheet (not locked) - so feel free to update your entry.

Is there any CIC representative in this forum ...No...
Honestly speaking except waiting we can't do much....
other option is try EE path if you have enough points, I don't have ..so keep waiting....

Alright how many years? because nobody has f*** up waiting time like we have, why should we suffer only everytime? they cleared FSW and EE, then whats the problem with our files? if nobody says anything , you wont get anything, they will keep working on EE, and you keep waiting

Ok guys... Was going through August thread... All are frustrated as September thread... But we have to accept the reality and fight for rights.

One of them got through the MP and some bad news
contacted my local MP. They talked to CIC and wrote back to me this:

As there is a new way of applying for permanent residency (through the Express Entry program) for your category, priority was given to the EE applications. Therefore, the applications received prior to the EE program are not being processed as quickly as expected.

I was also told that although the processing time as shown on CIC website is currently 14 months, it will be reassessed to reflect the actual processing time, which should be close to 20 months.

One of the member from August thread has got hold of a correspondent who can put a light to our case, please check below.
Sent an email to Simona Chiose [ SChiose@globeandmail.com ] explaining her plight. She wants to take up this issue in press and need enough numbers. Instead of whining on the board, let's do the best we can reaching out to CBC and Press. Simona is very responsive and she needs to know the real issue and plight of 2014 CEC applicants. Sending an email costs NOTHING. Just send her an email and the volume of the emails will give her a feel of the situation.

I trust you are doing well.

My name is ***** ***** and I am residing in *****, ON, Canada at the present moment.

I moved to Canada to study at University of ******* during Fall semester of ****. I was ** years old at that time. I studied hard, worked part time and full time as a Co-op during this period. I graduated from U of ******* in **** as a Mechanical Engineer w/ Automotive.
I was hired by ********, ON in February ****. I am currently working there as a *** ***** Project Engineer and excelling in my job.
I got married in **** **** and my wife moved here to live with me in ******* ****.
I bought a house in *****, ON in *** **** and am a proud home owner in Canada now, but still on work permit.
I have been a Canadian tax payer since ***** **** and have not been involved in any criminal activities.
I applied for my PR under the CEC as per Canadian laws in Aug 2014. The average processing time when I applied was 13 months. It has been more than 14 months now since I applied but CIC has not even completed the base level checks on my application.
CIC has been very unjust with applications such as myself and other thousands who are patiently waiting for some update from CIC. CIC call center is not providing any help also and are very rude whenever you call them. I am a very polite person and have personally had couple calls where CIC has abruptly and rudely hung up on me when asked to provide an update on my application status.
I am in a bad situation now as my work permit is about to expire in 2 months and CIC is not ready to provide any updates.
I feel very strongly that CIC has been partial with applicants such as myself who have given so much to Canadian government. CIC is giving PR to new applicants under Express Entry in under 6 months when people like me who have given so much to Canada for years are being held up for more than 14 months.
I really want to see a change and I request you for your help! I am sure that you must have received hundred of emails regarding this injustice.

Yesterday I chatted with a friend of mine working for a big canadian group.

He informed me that one of his colleagues that applied under CEC in September 2014 just got the PR approved this week.

For what I understood he spent two years as a student in Canada, worked 3 years, then applied under CEC in September 2014, got the medicals last august and received the PR approval this week.

In any case, there is still movement for the July 2014 applicants. Some of them are called for passport requests.

If they really finished the FSW backlog, most likely will start to process the other ones.

I called CIC today and the agent had asked me to call back on 5th Nov as it is my 14th month processing due.
and then he said he will be able to take an action after.

so i asked what kind of action he was talking about...
he said he can request them to look into my file if anything is pending for more documents and move on to next process.

is he bullshitting or are they really doing this for July & august applicants ?

if this information is true, could you tell us why? just because from big canada group, I can tell you , lots of CEC application from big company, so what , only this get moved ?

when people in this frorum start move to get media attention .etc .

then a sounds good news come, it start move !

then later, found still no move ...

what a tragic it would be .

Hi, I paid UF rprf and sent email to "CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca" one month ago but I didnt get any reply. Could you please confirm email address.
How long it took for you to get reply.?
