guys quick question .. so on my gcms notes in the eligibility column
there is a column called Due date which says 2016/02/05
Why would it be in 2016 when the time line for CEC is 12 months ??
I applied in September 2014 by the way :D

hmmm...interesting. So, that means, 12 months from AOR received date not from CIO received date. Too sad :(

Normally eligibility can take max 1 year.. Some where I saw in other thread but normally it is 2 months only. :)

Hi Winterfox

Just checked the CIC processing times again and it still says 12 months. So I am going to be an optimist and say that may be the due date is more like a hard deadline date that CIC gives themselves to definitely make a decision by. In case there are delays due to back logging etc. Wishful thinking? May be. But I am going to remain positive :)

Plus, looking at the timeline of other applicants who applied before us, we should see medicals being requested starting from first week of May at least. So we will definitely know for sure by then if the progress is on time or not.

I am not in Canada any more, but it might not be a bad idea for someone from the September 2014 group to apply for another set of GCMS notes. That way we will be able to compare the due dates. I hear it's free if you apply from within Canada.

Cheers!

Hi guys,
I am not able to access my ecas status so far, is that something to be worried about. Being a september applicant, i was expecting to access my profile by now

I think i applied for my gcms notes early. Also i realized that processing time of 12 months does not start from the time cic receives the application.. but from the time you receive ur aor .. i got my aor on Feb 6 2015 and the due date on my file says Feb 6 2016 ..thats 12 months..
however looking at the current trend and times..u r right July 23rd applicants received their MR yesterday so by may 1st week our MRs should start

Did you receive an email from CIC stating that your application was accepted? If you have then I wouldn't worry too much and if you have not then I am not too sure what is going on.

In either case, I would send an enquiry email to CIC and also call them. Hopefully, one of these routes should yield results.

Good luck.

Are you sure that the processing times on the CIC website indicate from the days from the AOR is issued and not from the day the application for PR is received by the CIC? What is the basis for your assumption?
Can anyone else comment on this, please? Thanks.

Do the math... 12 months from the day I filed my app (sep 29 2014) would be sep 29th 2015. 12 months from the day I received my aor (Feb 6 2015) is Feb 6 2016. And my due date on the gcms says Feb 6 2016.
But CIC is doing pretty well on MR time lines so let's be optimistic

At this time, online for sure. Paper will take over 100 days for a decision, while online should be about 53.

I have a question: When I finished the questionnaire online, the system indicated that I need t provide the following documents:

1) IMM5710E
2) Digital Photo
3) itinerary Letter
4) Explanation Letter

My question is what should I write for itinerary Letter? It is required when I need to apply BOWP

That's why I posted on previous thread that they are calculating due date from AOR received date. One of July applicant also mentioned sometime back that due date was showing exactly 13 months from AOR received date in his GCMS notes. Now it is 12 months.

Hi Guys,

I am September,2014 and i received my AOR in 23 Jan,2015, just wondering what is the best time to apply for GCMS notes?

:'(

Please suggest, is it good to apply in May?
