Hey you can't work that's ok but can you stay in Canada? if yes yes then how?
worst is with me my file delivered on October 3rd and returned unprocessed after 45 days for small reason. Now again delivered on 19th Nov but who is responsible for those 45 days.
I am also on implied status and worried what if BOWP rejected without AOR(High possibility looking at AOR timelines). How we are responsible when they are slow.
Can you guys believe that in people who applied in India under skilled worked got medical request in 5 month of application (after one month of AOR)
And CIC don't care about people already here and paying TAX.

Can someone guide me what options I have if BOWP rejected?
we have three options to stay in Canada

1) Changing status to visitor where you will be granted visa for 6 months. You can't work when you are on visitor visa
2) Applying for study permit and staying as a student. when you are student permit you can't apply for BOWP after getting your AOR and also you don't get work permit after your graduation. You can only work for 20 hours during study permit
3) Some company sponsoring you Job on closed work permit buy applying LMIA(Labour market opinion)

I am from a visa exempt country and well I'll still be able to stay here in Canada regardless of the BOWP outcome (just that I won't be able to work) ... I've also applied for family class sponsorship which is in process too so I have that as a back up and I'm hoping maybe that will come through before all this.
But if your BOWP is rejected and your work permit is expired I think there is nothing else you can really do in terms of the work aspect of things. Maybe someone else has any thoughts on this?
The only thing you can do is apply for a visitor visa and you can stay in Canada if they approve it and wait or return back home. I was thinking about returning back home and working until everything here is finalized as another alternative.

I think that there should be some kind of accountability too... like if the AOR are not issued within their standards then definitely they should understand this and realise that the delay in AOR is not our fault and they should not reject our BOWP and maybe hold onto it to give us leeway since we have already applied in September. BUT I'm a realist, the government wouldn't really care though. They will be like no AOR issued no BOWP when they process the BOWP application and they will get the money from it too and it's a good day for them as they have made their money, bad day for us.

That's not a good news to hear that your file was returned after 45 days. But can you help us understand what is the small reason for it's return?

I see some of you reporting that your bank draft has been cashed. How do you find that? The money was taken from the bank account as soon as the draft was generated. Is there a way to find that the receiving party has used it?

You can contact the bank you purchased it from and they can tell you if it has been cashed or not. I purchased mine from Scotiabank and their call centres cannot confirm this information.

Yesterday's numbers have stumped a lot of people. I am still unable to figure out what these numbers on CIC website represents: Are they the number of AORs issued? Or number of applications whose payment is processed? Or just the number of applications received? So an application comes in, it gets a date stamp or the lock-in date. Then I guess it is a two-step process. First a person checks if the application is complete. If not, then it is sent back (many people have received their incomplete applications within 30-45 days). Then all the remaining complete applications wait to be processed according to the lock-in date, I think. But nobody knows the exact process. Its a myth

I am also getting worried now. My application was received on 15th September 2014 and no CC charged... :'(

Worrying or speculating does not accelerate the process. Discussing what the numbers mean is quite pointless.

All you have to do is simply wait.

Hey. Surprised to me. Are you sure your application got reached on 21st Sep 2014? I am sure 21st Sep 2014 was not received date because the day was Sunday. Please update correct received date at CIO.
