Hi guys. I am officially a permanent resident of Canada. I received my passport today and went straight to the border to land. The immigration officer told me welcome home and gave me a little flag This forum has been very helpful for me. Thank you!!! All the best to those who are still waiting. Your time will come too.

I got PPR on June 2nd. On June 4th Ecas status changed to decision made. My return tracker was activated (after status changed) on Monday June 13th. I landed at Emerson today at 7pm. My ecas still says decision made.

Tell me about it, I'm an August 13 applicant. My wait is now officially over 22 months. I've watched many September and October applicants proudly proclaim that they've landed while my application just sits in limbo. I really am starting to think I will never be processed.

Did u apply for GCMS notes yet?

No. I don't even know what GCMS means?

GCMS notes are notes immigration officer wrote on your file. If u r in Canada, first thing u should do is apply for gcms. After 30 days u will receive it.

Make sure you apply for electronic notes and select method of delivery email.

Got my passport back yesterday along with COPR. Going this weekend to the border for landing.
App received 25 Sep. Ecas status is decision made.

Medicals requested - May 2
Medicals received - May 23

Called CIC today and was said security checks are currently in progress. She said this is the last task pending. CIC advised I should hear back something in 2 months.

Any idea how long does security checks take?
Also I'm in Canada and my spouse is in India. Once decision is made, will my spouse receive COPR in India by default? CIC agent told me my file is being processed in Ottawa and my spouse's case will be sent to India once finalised. Just curious if this is correct? I do not want to loose another 3-4 weeks requesting and transferring my spouse's case to India after decision. Any help will be appreciated.

Not sure why security check is going on. I observed 2-3 people are saying the same.

I think they are correct. If you already told them that ur spouse is currently in India then I have seen people getting two different passport requests.

Your spouse will get her own.

Called CIC several mins ago. A woman answered me. No attitude at all. I asked how long will I have to wait. She said "I don't know." I said "But last time another woman told me a clear date, how come you don't know." She said"My colleague was wrong! She's not supposed to tell you anything!" I was so angry and hung up.

I was told on or before October. I was like, SAy what!!! Anytime I remember what she the lady told me, I get frustrated. Lol but I'm just going to take my mind off it to avoid sickness.
