Cic got it on 11 March
Still no update on ecase, reports were normal

Hi guys. As it turns out my grandma passed away and I need to return home for the funeral. My PR hasn't been finalized and so I need a TRV to re-enter Canada. I saw online that the processing time for online application is 4 days. They requested my passport last Friday and Canada post delivered it to them on Monday. Does anyone know how long it takes them to put the visa in the passport and send it off? I keep checking the return self address label but it hasn't been activated yet. Call Centre agent can't give much info. Help please!

looking at the current trend its taking around 10 - 15 working days. There are a few examples where it came in 7 working days. Did you ask CIC agent on how to expedite it in case of emergency?

COPR received yesterday.
Final fee paid March 15th
Decision Made March 20th

I am going to the border to land tomorrow. What I would like to know is if we travel before receiving our PR card, will that be an issue?

Also, I heard something about the PR photo specifications being different. Would it speed things up if I brought new photos to the border tomorrow?

In my case, it took at least ecas 1 and half month to update my medicals.

Same here. MR is March 4, add. docs March 5, medical done 8 March, add. docs sent 13 March. Nothing since then. Very worried.
I was planning to go to US for a short edu. course from the beginning of June till mid August. I really haven't done any place/ticket reservations yet. The deadline for the reservations will be beginning of May I guess. Do you guys think they will finalize everything during April? I'm mentally worn out by the wait. Have been reading this forum for 19 months and it has been a great help and big motivation to stay positive.

My medical was updated in ecas in 2-3 days though. But nothing about add. docs or RPRF.

thank you for replying. The link you sent was about PR card. According to their site the TRV processing time for online application is 4 days. I am a sept 2014 cec applicant but because my PR isn't finalized yet I had to apply for TRV...they received my passport on Monday. I thought they would have already put the TRV in my passport and mail it off on Thursday before the long holiday weekend.

I think it is normal. I got decision made on March 10 and received COPR in the mail on March 21 (visa exempt contry).

Looks like people who are currently in Canada it's quite faster unlike me applying from outside.
My medicals done on 26th Feb and RPRF requested n paid on 4th March. But yet to hear anything from CIC where people got answers in a week though.

Any suggestions or advise?

Hi Deb_India. You will hear something soon. It takes longer for people outside Canada, because we need a Visa in addition to a COPR. Hang in there. The wait is almost over.

Hi everybody
Any idea how long does cic take to update medical received line on ecase after the medical done and reports are all normal.
I have done mine on March 8 reports were normal and it wasn't upfront , was requested on March 3
