Inquiry po! I received a document request from CIC:

Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from the Philippines. This must be received at this office

I know its says here clear from the Philippines, but do I also need to get a RCMP here in Canada as I stay longer 6 months here?

Good news, I am very happy for you.

Did you pay for RCMP? I am a sept applicant who has done medical on Jan 28th, 2016. Haven't heard anything from CIC for a while, wondering if I need to sent RCMP preemptively.

Yes, I paid $70 for RCMP check. It depends case to case whether CIC requests for RCMP or not. Just wait, you will hear something soon.. Best of luck...

As email clearly states that From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18. Therefore, if you have lived in Canada for more than six months, you have to submit RCMP check.

When you do upfront medicals...The doctor would issue the UMI...It will be on the sheet that you will get from the doctor...

Is this something we are required to do? I thought doctors upload medical request themselves.

I am reading a previous posts, if CIC requires RCMP from Canada, they will clearly dictate in the email.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/urgent-help-t397029.0.html

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Ø > Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from Canada. This must be received at this office by: 2016/04/03

Please follow the RCMP’s instructions to obtain a certified Criminal Record check.

You must send the fingerprints and a copy of this notice directly to the RCMP National Headquarters in Ottawa within 30 days from the date of this notice.

Do not submit fingerprints to our office that have not been processed by the RCMP as this will cause a delay in the processing of your application.

The RCMP will send the results directly to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (CPC-O) within the processing time published on the RCMP’s website.

Thanks for the reply.
