I received the UCI number from the agent finally. However, it does not retrieve any information while searching. Does CIC keep the status updated only when the documents are actually being processed? Does it say anywhere "document received" using the UCI id? If yes, kindly share the link

Dear colleagues,
I have received email from my Lawyer that she received file number for my application but she did not share that number till she get the second payment as per our agreement. Sure I'll do.
But she did not inform me whether this means PER or NER!
My question to you guys: An email with file number from CIC, is it a granted PER or it could be NER?
In other words:
In case of NER after DD being cashed, does CIC send an email with file number or not?

Please guide, as I want to know the reason for calling for an interview to ABU DHABI - UAE instead of PAKISTAN.
I am currently living in Karachi - Pakistan
Out of four (04) they only called Principal Applicant for an Interview why not rest of Three (03) dependent

Email stating:-

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

A visa officer has determined that a personal interview is required. If you fail to attend, your application will be assessed on the basis of the information available. This could result in refusal.

The date of interview has been set to allow you sufficient time to prepare the necessary documentation and to obtain an entry visa (if applicable). Please find and consult your interview instructions below.
Your interview will take place in Abu Dhabi and is scheduled for the following time:

Date: ** - March - 2015

Time: ****

Please confirm your attendance at the interview by replying by email to this address before **/**/2015.

Query / Questions need to be address:
1. Can I request CIC to change the interview location to Karachi / Islamabad Pakistan instead of ABU DHABI.??
2. Why a Pakistani Applicant called for an interview there??
3. Is there anyone who has been interviewed for FSWP Stream??
4. What Type of Question do they normally ask??

how did you send in your package? was it via registered mail ? do you have a tracking number to confirm it got to CIC?

Yes i have proof delivery and no one signed it but, i have the tracking number and had attached the POD to the mail.

Hi forum members I have received PER on 22nd dec. yet to receive any further mail. I want to add my new born documents my agent has told me I have to send some forms along with new born documents and proof of funds to cic as now I have uci number. My doubt is should I send these documents to cic canada or to the local embassy when I get further mail from them?

You have to send to your local VO using the specific case entry for the VO.

No you can not. It also gives an impression if you can't go to Abudhabi, how could u migrate to Canada

2. Why a Pakistani Applicant called for an interview there??
for LVO applicants, they fixed that place


3. Is there anyone who has been interviewed for FSWP Stream??
there is a separate thread where you can find people called for an interview


4. What Type of Question do they normally ask??

Hi,

Did anyone get their passports renewed after sending Additional Information Chart to CIC i.e. details of previous passport was shared with CIC but when a positive decision came a new passport has already been issued and received by the applicant.
