How do you know that? Did you call them or your ecase has been updated?

Just got my oath letter for March 21st at CIC Scarborough. The eCAS is not yet updated. My timeline as a reference:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 12, 2013.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 12, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on November 19, 2013.
We sent you a notice on February 18, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 3, 2014 at 1:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

they say file is complete.....background checks are going on... ??? when I inquired abut file transfer to local office....she said..Yes yes we sent your file to Ottawa...
Was she just trying to pacify me by telling me that my file has been tranfered to local office

i don't know about that. what did the "received" line disappear from you ecas?

apparently, my file is "in transit" to the local office. they have completed the security check already.

the agent told me that my file had been sent to local office and that background checks were going on.....so it means background checks are done at local office...
\but jujuberanch says his background checks are over and his file is being transferred ( which implies background checks are done at Sydney ?)

\sometimes I think that cic call centre agents are just fooling us.....so that we just feel happy and stop calling them

Hi everyone
I got letter yesterday dated 10th march asking for fingerprints. I do not know reason?
Originally my ECAS had both my maiden name & marital name (how I submitted my application) then in January they changed so I could only access it through my marital name.
I have committed no crime or had any previous convictions. They said will resume process once received so I am going to RCMP to do electronically for faster process, fingers crossed test date next.
Has anyone known anyone to have this done & if process will be longer (like RQ)? If so how much longer for test...I am so ready to do test revised everything already lol
