I did not submit my CSBA report, since it came after I sent my application. I was relieved to see that all my entries were correct...
Its very good to see case getting processed so quick . Did you attach any cover letter explaining your trips ? Also since you took 4 months off , you showed as un-employed during the period ?

I did not submit any cover letter. I showed 4, 4 months unemployment, since I was unemployed. I had compelling reasons to be away, which I briefly explained in the small space provided in the application.

they started processing my application around the same time when they started yours. i wonder if they've also sent me a similar letter. when did your "received" line disappear?

Yes..I am working for the same employer since sept 2010. Although I was away for 4 months for my wife's health issues, I started working again immediately after coming back.

I applied in November, and got request for fingerprints too.
Some people are invited for the test couple of months after the request, while some others wait much longer - CIC categorize document/fingerprints requests as non-routine, bringing application waiting time to +30 months.

Hi Boasorte,
How did you get fingerprint request? on ecas or via letter?

Letter from Local Office. e-CAS has not showed any update on that yet.

Congrats !! What you think made your case processed quick ? You didnt travel during the 4 yr period ?
Honestly speaking, I think it's just luck. I traveled 16 times (98 days of travel) and was unemployed twice during the 4 years preceding my application. I had also withdrawn a previous citizenship application after getting an RQ, as I had less than 1095 days of physical presence during the time of the first application.

I thought because of all of the above stuff I was surely going to get another RQ this time around. But it seems like all of these things don't really matter if you have a solid case.

Hope it helps people who are wondering about travel and unemployment.

To my understanding and based on most friends here say, CIC and their offices are not consistent in the citizenship application processing. We can see quite similar cases which are been processed in a totally different way.
It seems instead of giving that useless RQ , they have recently started fingerprint requests. They always find a way to process most cases as non-routine.

This is what it is!
