Application received on 9th of September. Sent by courier to 49 Dorchester.
No e-case update as of now. Wondering if they lost it.

looks like multiple officers get multiple applications randomly which they are responsible for entry in the database....some ppl are lucky to see e-cas early some are not.

Very possible. I assume they would have returned my application long ago if there was anything wrong (like school records for my kid etc.).

In my case, eCAS was initiated after 3 month and 8 days. it's unlikely your application is lost or returned (if this is the case then u have already got back your application). Your application might be out of order so better give a call to CIC.

Exactly the same thing was going on my mind while i was waiting for an eCAs initiation. i called CIC several times during that even i was about send new application.

Thanks for you explanation.
Did they do something to get it back in order when you called?
To be honest I called on Friday and agent was unable to check my status by my client id and told me that most likely they found out that something was wrong or missing and I would be getting my application back in the mail, which I did not believe - as everyone received their applications within 6 weeks after initial submission if anything was missing.

I was randomly checking ecas and saw the status.....whatever the reason is for being transferred to my local office but she took my client id....checked her records and told me it was forwarded. maybe my assumption is that once they do the data input in their system then transfer it to local office for processing.......whatever it is I am OK with it as long I am not getting a RQ and takes 36 + months....ideally it will be nice that I get the oath by next year December.

I will keep u guys updated....btw I applied with my wife together and both are on e-cas.
Shaikat, Mine says received and in process, What about your's, is it says received also

yes mine is received and in process....wife's only in process....reason behind it is received means fees paid...in process is actual processing status of the file.

Initially they told me to wait and then wait and then asked me send new application. i called may times that time almost twice a week. Because i wasn't sure whether my application is lost or returned (and lost somewhere because i did not get it). One of the may 2013 applicants sent his/her application almost the same time as mine and his application was initiated in October.
The only thing u can do now is to call or send a letter to CIC explaining your situation.

That's a long wait, I see that somebody even got their in-process in October, while their app was received by CIC in May.
I think I'll give it some time until the end of November, if I get nothing by then, I'll call them again.

Hey Noolan - you're not alone I am also with you Sep 19 - no news on ecas...........
Gmmak, I would love to see my file on e-case but am not holding my breath about it. My only concern is i am going on 6 weeks holidays next week. I cannot inform them that i am going for that long as i don't have my file # yet. but anyway I am gonna call and get all the details of the Agent whom i am gonna speak to. i did not go outside canada since June 2011. I am just concerned if i get RQ in the mail, and I am outside, it will be a bit of hassle. Still not a big deal..I have bigger things to worry about. I have to live my life. I have a decent job, bought my home about two years ago.... and i am gonna live here for the rest of my life...
