I am also sep 2013 applicant, got PPR 2 months back and send the request to change the stamping office to INDIA-New delhi but even after sending multiple reminders I am not getting response from CIC.

1. is this normal or is there any issues?
2. Shall I send the Passport to ottawa for stamping as few of my friends travelling to canada in this week.

Please please advise

Hi

I am also a September applicant.

1) I am not sure if this is "Normal" or not. Because I myself have been waiting for my "Passport request" for more than 5 months after done with my medicals and RPRF payments. I am sure my case was not normal comparing with other cases but I am trying to pretend its "Normal" which gives me mental peace :). On a serious note, You may contact any VFS offices in India and try to contact Delhi high commission through them. You may send them an email explaining your situation.

2) No. Legally, You can never send your passport out of your country even through Courier, Post or with someone else. However, You may contact any "Attorney" here who is legally approved and registered with CIC and ask them if they can help you in terms of getting your passport stamped. You may end up losing ~ $ 500 in worst case.

But I would still suggest you to wait until the 13 months period is over.

Cheers,
Kunishsa

Question for who can answer:
I am currently on a closed work permit working as consultant (more like independent contract) for the company that applied for my LMO. Now that I have completed my Medicals and also got my RFRP email stating that my file has been found eligible for PR and request me to pay the fees, can I apply for an open work permit even if my work permit is valid till September 2015?

Please advise.

Thank you

One of my friends who applied in September 2013 in CEC class just received the medical request today. I was wondering that the medical request could be this late? Is there anyone on this forum from September 2013 applicants still waiting for their medical?

No. Reason - As per the policy, you can apply for BOWP within 4 months of your WP expiry. I am sure you will get PR soon.

Just received an e- mail from CIC,asking me to submit my past two years personal history.
Could you share the email with us? How are they expecting you to submit this information. Via email or mail?

If you can share that information with us it would be great.

Thank you.

This is expected as CIC is dragging all the applications. They are adopting different ways to delay the PPR.
