I did medicals a week ago at Doctor Francis Li (751 Pape Ave) and just called the doctor's office to make sure the results have been uploaded to the system. The lady I spoke to informed me that her computer has been broken for the past 10 days (including the day I was at their clinic). She was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She said she will try to upload the results next week but no guarantee. Here goes my bad luck again
I asked her why she didn't let me know about this issue before I submitted my docs and paid the fees but she didn't have anything to say and just went on and on complaining. It was very hard to understand her because of her heavy accent. I asked her if she can call me back once her computer is fixed and the results are being uploaded but she said she wont do it even in this unusual situation.
So i guess I will have to wait till next week and call them again.
How long does it normally takes to receive a passport request after the medicals results being received by CIC?

Hey guys, never posted here but have always found lots of answers in the forum =)
Anyhow, got the email requesting my passport on May 23rd and the status change to Decision made on May 26th.
It says the office will contact me.
So the question is: was approved then? they wouldn't ak for my passport if it was denied? Can I just relax and wait for the card now?

Yes, if CIC has requested your passport your application has been approved. However, you still have
to mail the passport to CIC, when you get it back you have to complete the landing at the border or inland
CIC office and THEN, not earlier you can wait for your PR card.

Yes, if CIC has requested your passport your application has been approved. However, you still have
to mail the passport to CIC, when you get it back you have to complete the landing at the border or inland
CIC office and THEN, not earlier you can wait for your PR card.

I do agree with Toby.

Toby, I am reading some posts where applicants said their application has to go for verification before receiving their PR cards and It took around 120 days to receive the card. what are your thoughts on this? what kind of verification it is?

I received my CoPR today. Date of issue is May 23, 2014. Very grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey with me, including those on this forum. I do however have a few questions:

2) CoPR says that if family composition has changed, a new CoPR would have to be issued with change of name etc. I did get married on May 24, 2014 as was planned. Not sponsoring spouse, and change of name will take a while to happen (since I need to wait about 8 weeks and then apply for my marriage certificate). Do I still need to inform that I am married now?

I mailed my passport on May 14th, and today the return tracker just got activated. Here is a spreadsheet for passport returns that I found somewhat helpful:

mine was received on May 20th and hoping it will be activated tomorrow then.
