The current trend to get the passport back once its received at Ottawa is 2-5 business days.
I got my COPR today and the passport reached CIC on Monday...
Few folks whose passports reached Ottawa on Monday got the COPR by Wednesday...

Just got my Passport request. Yipeeee... Now i just have to send my passport to cic. What will be the next step. Should i send a tracking return package with my mail. So that i can track when they are sending it back

you have to send a return envelope with tracking and also asked for a signature so you can track it and make sure it doese not fall into the wrong hand

Any idea what it means? I asked cic whether they got our medicals and this is the response-

"Medical results are still under review. Payment received."

Hi MBACanada,

When you say, you asked. did you sent an Email or called ?

Thanks,
RP

Somebody was asking how frequently ECAS is updated, I found below note on CIC website:

"Note that the Client Application Status tool is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays."

Cheers

10:58 PM to be precise..
the ecas status is still showing in process status (started working on app on april 9). but no mention about medical received yet.. may be that will be updated in a day or two..

As expected my ECAS status changed to decision made this morning.. Now it does say medical received... update happened, one day after I got PPR..

Decision made
We received your application for permanent residence on September 18, 2013.

We started processing your application on April 9, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
