If you receive a COPR and you then enter Canada, are you required to land? I know you have a year to land from the time you get the COPR (or from the date of the medical) , but can you enter and leave without landing in order to let some of that year go by? I would want my son to be able to do that because he still has at least 3 years of University left in the US and I don't want him to run into the 2 in 5 residency issue. It would be good if he could finish another year of school before he lands, but I'd also like for him to be able to come and visit.
